I don't really know exactly what this place is, but whatever it is it is doing exactly what it intends to do. There's a whole bunch of surplus stuff from bigger name retailers that anybody would recognize such as Costco. Now, bear in mind that there are no Costco locations within about three hours of this particular location.
Is it a little bit strange? Absolutely. I was brought here with the caveat that this is a quintessential Maine experience. This makes sense, and I have been to places similar to this elsewhere. But the price is simply cannot be beat. And the chaos and lack of organization and delightful nonsensical energy within it is that of a flea market in which you could find anything unexpected and delightful.
