Updated to include yet another inspection this year from this HOA Today and they just send people to check the property out without notice of a specific time and date. Service people literally just show up on your porch demanding entry. I work midnights and was woken up. Leave me alone and go tend to one of the other properties that you ignore. I think at the maximum, residents should be subject to no more than one inspection every six months. It's harassment. My toilets aren't running, go away! Half a dozen inspections over an electrical box and they violate tenant privacy. Two to Four inspections a year is the absolute maximum I should be subjected to. At this point it's just harassment. Marcus Management was our property management company for our co-op and did an awful job. They were never around when we needed them and did not keep the property up well at all. They were very difficult to work with and wasted a lot of our co-op's money. They were not responsive to mine and many other co-op owners complaints. Ralph the owner was known to talk down to the co-op staff, in which some even left because they could not work with them. In the end, the co-op board was finally able to replace them. This has to be one of the worst management companies in Michigan. If I could give this review minus 5 stars, I would. This company is so outdated. They literally can only accept personal checks or money orders. They most likely still use a calculator to balance the Property Owners Association monies. Look deeper when reading the reviews. This has to be one of the worst management companies in Michigan. If I could give this review minus 5 stars, I would do it in a heartbeat. They downright disrespected me in a recent email, and included false information. They refuse to let the residents see where their money is going and how it's being spent. The maintenance at the property I reside is done in a lazy and unprofessional way. They have no interest in doing professional maintenance work that will last, just patchwork fixes, that are not done properly, and in the cheapest way possible. I had addressed this in a letter, and was told that it was a matter of "opinion". I beg to differ, and have plenty of examples to show how horrible the work done here is and the neglect the management company has for our property. I have been a management consultant for years, and am absolutely disgusted at the way our property is managed. Full disclosure, I am not the property owner, but take care of him full time, as I'm his son and he is medically unable to deal with situations that arise. My rate is cero! I agree with the bad reviews of this company. I contacted Noami Edmunds from Marcus Management and the manager of Arrowwood Hills Cooperative in Ann Arbor, Michelle Alford, several times regarding my member money reimbursement from 2486 Arrowwood Trail in Ann Arbor. I moved on December 1, 2021, and left the unit in perfect condition. On December 16, 2021, a new tenant moved in. I have a checklist from Cristopher, supervisor of Arrowwood Hills, on November 30, 2021, who concluded that the apartment was in excellent condition. However, by Michigan Law, the management company can not hold it for more than 30 days. Naomi Edmunds said that Michelle Alford never sent the paperwork because the unit needs restorations, which is not valid. I can tell that Marcus Management and Arrowwood Hills Cooperative are useless business models. After three months, I am still waiting for my membership money. read more
