The 2 stars is for the SENIOR CLAIMS REPRESENTATIVE that just handled my claim. His name is Richard…read moreGray out of Angleton, TX. So far I have loved Farm Bureau. My insurance AGENT is AMAZING. Her name is Courtney Salina's out of Hunt County. I recently hit a hog in my Tacoma. Made the claim through Courtney. And the claims representative that handled my claim was Richard. Everything was going fine. He came out, looked at my vehicle, wrote up an estimate and sent me payment for the repairs. When I went to claim payment for the repairs I chose the Venmo option. Farm Bureau needs to cut ties with Venmo after what I'm about to explain. Long story short. My phone number was apparently still linked with another persons Venmo account. The person who had my phone number before me. So the money got sent to the person who used to have my phone number. I called Richard (on 01/21/25 the same day this all took place) to let him know that I thought the money got sent to the wrong account. He pretty much told me he didn't know if there was anything he could do since the payment had gone through on Farm Bureaus end. So I call Venmo. Venmo tells me they can't do anything. They tell me that FB will have to call whoever the payment goes through and have them cancel the transaction to get the money sent back to FB. I call Richard back and tell him this and he said would find some things out and get back to me. But again reiterated he doesn't think there's anything he can do in an irritated voice. I apologize to him for the inconvenience and tell him thank you. That afternoon went by and the following day went by. I heard nothing. I call him AGAIN on 01/23/25 and got his voicemail. I left a voicemail asking for any updates and to please call me back. I heard nothing from him. I finally reached out to my Insurance Agent Courtney who immediately started trying to help me. She reached out to Richard asking him to contact me regarding the situation and let him know to please contact me. She let me know if I didn't hear from him by the following morning to let her know. The following morning came and I hadn't heard from him. So I reached out to Courtney again and she again immediately started trying to help. I ended up calling into Farm Bureau directly on 01/24/25 and told them what was going on and they connected me to the 3rd party that all the claims money comes from. They tell me that they would have had to cancel the transaction the day that it took place. Which would have been 01/21/25 when I first called Richard about this entire situation and he said he would call me back and never did. So now the 3rd party can do nothing about getting the money back. Meanwhile my truck is sitting at the mechanics ready to be picked up. I still heard nothing from Richard Gray. I ultimately (thankfully) figured out who the money got sent to on Venmo and requested them to send the money back to where it came from. I woke up today and thankfully that person had sent the money to me directly through Venmo. Even though this person had tried to cash the money out 4 times in the days prior but couldn't because the confirmation number they needed was being sent to my phone number. Thankfully the person did the right thing and sent me the money. Otherwise I don't know what I would have done! Do not choose Venmo as a Payment option! And Richard gray I would've just appreciated a phone call back or for you to have acted like you cared at all ‍. My family alone has 4 vehicles insured through yall. 2 of those being full coverage. We have 2 home owners policies through y'all and a camper insured through yall. The least he could've done is acted like he gave a damn and TRIED to help. I hope whoever needs to see this gets to see it.
