Easy access to this gas station just off the highway right before crossing the state line into Arkansas. Gas was $1.89 a gallon.

If you've seen this place, chances are you are wondering why I am reviewing it. If you've been…read moreinside it, you are really wondering what in sam's hell is wrong with me. Well fellow Memphian Yelpers, I just want to save you the time and trouble. This place is downright scary. My husband kept telling me there was an Amoco on 3rd that was far closer to us than the ones on Poplar. Just to give you an idea of how bad this place is, I drove by it about 10 times and thought "He's totally not talking about that one. He loves me too much to send me there." When he finally took me there to show me where it was located, I started to wonder if he wanted me killed. This place is right out of a slasher film. No, seriously. If you took away the "Amoco" sign and put something like "Bob's" on top- you could film the next remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre right inside this place. Ugh! This place is disgusting inside. I had to take a shower when I got home. The convenience store food items that are on the shelves are covered in layers upon layers of dust and they actually had these burnt shriveled up hash brown potatoes and wings inside a case you could order. Who would eat them?! I will say the dude behind the counter has always been nice (yes I have been forced against my will to go in here 3 times now- I've since put a ban on it). In fact, he is so nice he gives the place an extra star. But please, I urge you, stay away from here.

If I could give a lower star, I would. This store has the worst customer service from its staff…read morethat I have ever seen! Last night I bought snuff from them after the Shinedown concert...when I got home at 11:30, I saw that the cans were 3 months past the expiration date. When I went back in and asked for a refund or exchange, I was told that he couldn't do it, I had to come back when the person who sold it to me was on shift. I asked him to the call the manager. He said he would be here in 5 minutes and I had to wait, "Step to the side." The store clerk told me that for him to do a return, it would make his cash drawer short. This makes no sense at all in retail. So, I waited. The next person who stepped in told me that the original person could help me. When I informed him that he couldn't help me according to him, I asked him for help. The other gentleman got irate because I said he couldn't help me, and again wad aggressive about the situation, stating "I said you have to wait. He'll be here in a bit." When I asked him what he meant by a bit, because he already told me 5 minutes, he got angier and just stated a bit. I am so angry, that I left. I will go back by on Monday to talk to a manager, since no one at this location can give me a district manager or corporate number. Mapco can delete my mapco user account after the refund. I WILL NOT spend my, or anyone else's, money at a Mapco
