Was very quiet the night I called - so the young man who served me had little else to do. Notwithstanding he was extremely helpful and obliging. ok i have been to store on many occasions the problem i have is the staff pounceing on you soon as you walk in most of staff no me and no i am a good customer but the other day there was a new face in there i had not gone through the door he was there asking if i need help i said no thanks carried on looking i turned he was there staring at me at the top of the isle i felt like he thought i was going to steal so i went to nect isle and boom he had shimmed over not even attempting to hide the fact he was watching me so i moved to next isle and yes he was there again staring so i stared back forgeting what i had come in for because i was so angry! i was just about to say something and another customer walked in with a pc problem from a motherboard he had got from there 1 year ago,i listened to the guy that had followed me since i got there and every answer he gave him was wrong the member of staff was ovouisly trying to get a sale of a new mainboard/processor when it was boot files problem of which a simple system restore would have probably done the trick and saved the poor guy few hundred pound,the store its self is good if a little pricey but there is big problem with treating you like a criminal ive never stolen anything i respect you have to watch people but it sells tech ie cameras for things like that very upset but there are staff that do help and dont pounce but come on maplins theres a way to treat paying customers and advice that your giving them i wont be shopping there again i was a good PAYING customerr as a tech engineering for over 15 years if your going to give advice at least teach your staff the right way to do it...... read more
