Unfortunately, at this point, I am past the stage of biting my tongue and allowing these experiences to ruin my day. I want to start by saying that Dr. Hacker has been nothing short of amazing. He has consistently been kind, attentive, and truly listened to my concerns. Quite honestly, he was the only reason I continued coming back despite everything else that was happening. The first issue occurred while my fiancé's father was actively dying. Penny asked if we wanted to get on the schedule for the following week. I politely declined without explaining our personal situation. Instead of respecting that, she loudly exclaimed, "What could be so important?!" in front of others. That was incredibly inappropriate and uncomfortable. I later made Dr. Lundgren aware of this incident, but it was brushed off as Penny simply "doing her job" and not meaning anything by it. We chose to give the office another chance. Later, I had an agreement with Dr. Lundgren's wife, Charla, to provide marketing services for the practice in exchange for my fiancé's care. My own care was fully covered by insurance, and I have been actively marketing for this location multiple times a week on a very large scale. While sitting in the office one day, I overheard Penny speaking about my fiancé's account to another coworker and making a sarcastic remark implying that I was "on marketing" to cover his care. Again, I chose to let this slide. Then came ongoing billing and insurance issues. I was told that my insurance supposedly hadn't covered my last six visits, leaving me with a growing balance I was never informed about. I was abruptly and rudely told I was multiple visits behind and owed money. Despite having two insurance plans and seeing no denied claims on my end, I was assured the issue was simply insurance denial. No good-faith estimate was ever provided. I eventually reached out to Charla because I suddenly owed over $400 with no clear explanation. I was told to disregard the balance and that the claims would be reprocessed--yet they were not. I had to provide proof myself and ask for them to be processed again. Only then were the claims correctly submitted, resulting in a refund due to their error. I was assured there would be no further issues and was even told Penny only worked Wednesdays so we could schedule accordingly if needed. Despite this, she was frequently present on days she supposedly wasn't working. I kept my head down, stayed cordial, and avoided confrontation throughout all of this. Yesterday, Charla approached us and stated that my fiancé had received approximately $4,000 in care last year and asked how he planned to move forward with payment--despite the existing agreement and despite the fact that I had just marketed for the business this very week and was still charged. At that point, I stopped providing my services. A card was placed on file so we could continue care, but today I was once again approached--this time by Penny--regarding my insurance. At this point, the situation has become completely out of hand. I feel unsupported by the owners and consistently disrespected by one particular employee. Because of this, I have decided to change providers. This business currently has many five-star reviews, but if these issues--especially regarding professionalism, privacy, and billing transparency--continue with this employee, that will change very quickly. Overall, this has been a deeply negative experience, with the sole exception of Dr. Hacker, who truly deserves recognition for his compassion and care.

He said he does not "go in for the gizmos", etc. basically being critical of his fellow chiropractor colleague who had invested time, energy and learning for a new technique. I felt his comments were extremely unprofessional and uncalled for. When we got to the adjustment phase - let's just say I've been treated more gently when I gave birth. Then - we won't even talk about the neck adjustment. Snap, crackle and YANK. Good news is is office staff (there was only one) was cordial and the office takes Medicare. Though a cleaned up diet that relied mostly on meats and vegetables went a long way, I still had issues that were persistent or returned after temporary relief. Doctors could not only figure out what was wrong with me, all of their tests showed that I was perfectly fine and healthy, with maybe being a little low in this vitamin or that mineral. Maintained diet changes combined with Dr. Wilson's nutritional guidance, supplements, knowledge, and wisdom has been a game changer. In just the first visit, he could tell what was fundamentally wrong with me and soon had me on a supplement regime that started relieving, or just out right curing, my various issues. I've had back issues since I was young, but only needed to really see a chiropractor every few years or so. Within the last four or five, I've had to go several times a year or even several times in a month. I'd follow the advice of the chiropractor as best I could to control my inflammation, but ultimately (even with the dietary changes discussed above) it was still a problem. Dr. Wilson has me come back regularly and I have seen significant reduction in my pain levels. I've also regained better mobility and use of my limbs that I didn't notice were even that compromised. Does it look like I got attacked by a giant octopus across my back? Yep! But there is zero discomfort today and my shoulder and back pain is gone. The administration makes sure they have a very nice and comfortable office as all administration's do. The facility is not the same, clean, and nice facility that it once was. It seems a bit dirty, that nursing home smell is distinct. Another issue is that some of the CNA's have little social graces and lack any intelligence.(But again that seems to happen in many nursing homes). I realize it is a very difficult job but if a person can't handle it don't go into it. Some staff talk down to residents as if they are 2 yr. olds need of punishment. I want to remind them they are not the resident's mother's and to try to use respect. Surely, someone has taught them. The residents may wait some time to go to the bathroom and they may ask for a simple aspirin and never get it. The rivalry between shifts goes on like immature idiots.(But that seems to be common practice in hospitals and all nursing homes). Patients in this home and many like it are more likely to experience contaminated infections like Clostridium difficile, Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and other communicable disease and serious blood-borne infections. Because of that, the nursing staff is required to follow procedures and protocols that ensure residents are protected from cross-contamination. Unfortunately, not all nursing homes adequately train and continuously monitor the actions of their Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Certified Nursing Assistants, which is often highly detrimental to the well-being of patients They do a lot of covering up for errors as most nursing homes and many hospitals do. I don't see too many people getting better. It certainly hasn't happened in the case of my wife. She was worse. The phrase "respect your elders" is ingrained in most minds at a young age. This phrase, however, has been lost somewhere. A lack of respect for the elderly is especially present in the quality of health care they receive. Despite this issue, the current law mandating many necessary workers in nursing homes does little to improve the situation. It states, "The facility must have sufficient nursing staff to provide nursing and related services to attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychological well-being of each resident as determined by resident assessments and individual plans of care" (Miranda, 2005). This statement is very ambiguous and leaves much to the interpretation of the administration of each nursing home, resulting in many situations of insufficient staffing. Some help have a nasty habit of discussing the residents in front of them as the resident was part of the brainless dead. They are not set up for short-term rehabilitation. They claim to be but it is still a nursing home. Now, I'm not saying all staff is bad because they are not. They are overworked and underpaid. I am saying the policies need to be changed and updates need be implemented. Communication is lacking. Nursing Homes in this country have a long way to go. They are more concerned with making money and appearing to look good for the public. A severe problem with this task falling in the hands of the administration lies in the fact that "among administrators, very few are certified, and without qualified leadership quality initiatives are harder to sustain" (Clemmit, 2006, p. 849). Also, many nursing homes do not want to pay and ensure additional employees. Instead, they choose to run their staff on the bare minimum. It is clear that some sort of policy change is extremely necessary.
