I live out of state but send flowers to family in Warsaw. Whenever I call Maple Avenue and speak to Gail to explain what I would like over the phone, she and her team nail it. I mean spot on, and I can be very picky. She goes the extra mile every time and is so detailed in her vision & communicative regarding exactly what flowers or materials she is going to use and why. Her creativity & artistry are unmatched. She has pulled many gorgeous pieces from her impeccably decorated store (a must-see if you have never been inside...and the insane gourmet chocolates are also a wow!) to place flowers in pitchers, lanterns, and other non typical flower vessels. Recently she created an arrangement wrapped around a lighthouse and somehow made it look like it was sitting on a hill of wild flowers with blue waves crashing up against it. This was for a funeral, and her arrangement was truly so personal and therapeutic, in that is was so creative, that it got people talking about the things our loved one treasured and floods of happy memories flowed filling conversations rather than the sad way they departed. I'm not sure who I spoke to last week, but I wanted to thank you for being so helpful and for the beautiful work you did on my father's standing funeral spray. I was more than pleased with how it turned out. I ordered the blue and white standing spray with blue ribbon saying "Papa". Because of the COVID-19 scare, I was unable to travel from Wisconsin to Indiana for his service. Knowing that such a beautiful arrangement "stood" in for me was consolation for my grieving heart. Very Disappointed. I paid $250 for this funeral arrangement for the mother of a very special person. I ordered from this florist because there are no FTD or Telaflora florist available in this area using flowers.com or other websites. I thought and hoped that by going to a local business and being very specific about what I wanted and paying more than enough monies I could not go wrong. I requested that they text me a picture the day before delivering so I could confirm my approval and they did not. I called the morning of the service and they said they tried to text me the picture but it came back as unable to deliver (my hunch is the wrong phone number was input). When I called the morning of and requested picture the text came through without issue. And my heart just fell to the floor. I am sad and ashamed. I called back after receiving the picture to confirm this was the final product and they did confirm this picture is the final product. I explained my disappointment and sent a picture of comparable arrangement for $50 less. They seriously skimped on the number of flowers. Just horrible. They offered to refund me $50 but I declined as the money isn't the issue it is the end product that is the issue and the funeral service already transpired. The damage was done. Money won't repair the shame I feel. Sadly I was wrong to have used this local business. The pictures attached show the actual product they delivered vs. 30.00 cheaper product that is much nicer. Update: I authorized $250.00. They billed my cc $267.50! If you are bored check other national websites for comparable arrangements @ 250. I have used national online sites many times in the past without issue as to satisfaction. read more

Never again! I went in person to order valentines day flowers for my wife four days early realizing its a big day for florist. Paid for delivery clarified address and delivery time, Valentines came and went, no flowers. Tried to call and even stopped in person Saturday but they were closed probably due to crazy day before. At this point I'm still kind of understanding no biggie things happen ill be able to get a refund. I finally get a hold of someone on Monday four days after valentines, where they preceded to inform me it was my problem. They said my wife was not home when they tried to deliver, interesting as they were delivering to her office at a business. When they got caught in that lie I was informed it must of been after hours, BUT... on the top of order form it said AM delivery(before 5pm). When they realized that they messed up they asked me what I wanted to do, REFUND, its four days after Valentines! They reluctantly agreed , But surprise! no refund! and they did deliver the flowers late Monday afternoon after our agreement earlier in the day. Wilted, four days late. read more
