Bad company. I lived in spain and moved to germany. MAPFRE has to refund around 500€ for my car which has no longer spanish insurance. Every contact with MAPFRE ended up, that they requested the Papers from the Spanish tráfico. The point is, I never got a paper from a spanish authority Just the german Matricula which Shows that the Spanish Papers are no more valid. On request I have contacted also the highest authority "Kraftfahrtbundesamt" who confirmed, that in spain the car is no longer valid. But everything is still ignored from MAPFRE, and i Just get over and over again the Template Mail, that documents are missing. If this is the normal way in spain xI am so happy, that I left the country. If not x, MAPFRE the badedt insurance company ever. Seems like I must consult a lawyer to get my money back. read more

The parent company of Mapfre cannot be trusted. Their Panama life insurance branch denied an absolute legal claim. They completely disregarded the non-contestability clause and ignored all correspondence or communication. I would not recommend doing any business with Mapfre because of this horrendous violation of a contract. (the amount was too small to litigate) read more
