This was a delightful find. We loved the flavour of the curries we had. We chose a chicken pakora…read morestarter, which was very good. I would have preferred for the pakora to have been fried a bit longer as I tasted some rawness of chickpea (gram) flour. I opted for the paneer cheese butter masala main, and it was rich, delicious and with a bit more chilli heat than I expected for a butter dish. Anyway it was darn good but if you are choosing this dish to avoid heat then tell the waiter to avoid a chilli bite surprise. My wife enjoyed her chicken tikka masala too, declaring it quite good but not great. Both dishes had slivers of fresh ginger on top that enhanced flavour. The sauce-based mains were served in candle - warmed metal serving dishes, which was just as well for two reasons: first we sat outside, second the plates that were brought were stone cold. This is food for beer not wine and they have great beers. I opted for a porter style; my wife stuck with lager. Beer in restaurants is comparatively expensive in this part of Poland compared to most restaurant food costs. The food portions were mostly good and the basmati rice perfectly cooked but the nan bread was disappointingly thin and more like a crisp bread. So it was averaging a good four star but there were too many disappointments that could and should have been avoided with a little care and thought. I've already mentioned the stone cold plates, this should never happen in any restaurant especially one serving rice as it goes very cold very quickly on cold plates. Cold rice isn't pleasant. The service was great but it was so only up to a point as once we had our food no-one came back outside to check if we needed anything else - by this I mean within a few minutes of being served we were asked once if it was ok and that was that our waitress disappeared thereafter. No-one returned again until all food was eaten. I would have taken another beer but by the time our server did appear it was too late. Darkness had fallen and it became cool. I was a tad annoyed as the restaurant was not at all busy and when I went inside to the rest room it turned out that the waiter and waitress were just chatting away to each other. Finally although I've not reduced my star rating we paid the cheque in cash. I was expecting change albeit a very small sum. The change did not come, the waitress did not return despite it being my money. I was holding a generous tip, expecting my change, even though the service wasn't good. This is when I went in to use the restroom, tip in hand and noticed that the two staff were socialising in a near empty restaurant so my tip stayed in my pocket. The above problems are minor really but in combination they disproportionately annoyed and result in three stars. The staff need to grasp the the fact their industry is hospitality.
Solid delivery of an average Indian restaurant. The interior…read moreis cozy and the service was quick. Unfortunately not all of the drinks on the menu were available. Food came quickly and was good. A shahi paneer was really good, the chicken curry more average. We use to eat at a lot of different Indian restaurants and food wise this one was average but good enough to satisfy your cravings!

And in fact Masala do not only serve Indian food but also Chinese and Thai food as well. I have tried many Indian restaurants in different countries and can say that this one was really good. We tried one vegetarian dish and one with chicken. The taste for both meals were great, the serving was good and the spices were tasty. Also the bread was excellent. The staff basically almost ignored us when we arrived. Once we finish our meals we kindly asked the waitress if we could pay. As for the reply: she emotionally sent us down to the cashier, where we waited another worthwile only to witness more undeniable reluctance from the stuff to do their work and simply recieve the money from us (one was almost tempted to just leave - probably no one would have noticed anyway). The food alone was of standard quality.

The guy told my wife and I that he couldn't replace our coals more than twice and right in front of us he replaces other people coals at least three times. The springs rolls were amazing though. If you want good customer service do not go here. The wait for the food and drinks was way too long. When I say long I mean I literally waited 30 minutes for another drink. I had to wave at the guy watching us to get another drink. After a hour of just sitting and talking to my wife he asked if we wanted another. My wife (polish) said he was just trying to get rid of us. This place is environmentally friendly though. You can relax but can't get good service.
