A Hidden Gem With Amish Charm, Giant Pretzels, and Beautiful Furniture!…read more Sometimes the best stops are the ones you never planned on making! We were visiting the Bridge of Dreams in Danville, Ohio, when we spotted a sign for a bakery and furniture store. What really caught our attention was the sign advertising 50% off soft pretzels on Wednesdays. Since it was Wednesday and we were in the mood for a snack, we decided to check it out. Boy, are we glad we did! Weaver's Farm and Furniture is one of those little places that has a whole lot more going on than you might expect. There's a bakery, ice cream, Amish treats, custom-made Amish furniture, and even a petting zoo! Talk about a little bit of everything under one roof. When we arrived, we were greeted by the owner, Raymond, who immediately made us feel welcome. He even offered us a complimentary soft pretzel as a thank-you for stopping in. Now that's hospitality! Raymond has a way of making you feel less like a customer and more like you're visiting a family member. And the furniture? Absolutely beautiful! If you appreciate quality craftsmanship and Amish-made furniture built to last, you'll definitely want to take some time to look around. These are the kinds of pieces that make you stop and appreciate the time and skill that go into making them. Of course, we couldn't leave without enjoying our pretzel. Let me tell you, this thing was HUGE! And even better, it was delicious. Sometimes a soft pretzel is just a snack, but this one could practically qualify as a meal! The staff was just as friendly as Raymond, and the whole visit left us smiling. It's refreshing to find a local business where people genuinely seem happy to welcome you through the door. The Bottom Line: Whether you're shopping for beautiful, custom-made Amish furniture, looking for a sweet treat, craving a giant soft pretzel, or simply exploring the area around the Bridge of Dreams, Weaver's Farm and Furniture is well worth a stop. Raymond and his team remind you that great businesses are about more than what they sell. It's about how they make you feel when you walk through the door. We came looking for a snack and discovered a hidden gem. We'll definitely remember this place the next time we're in the area! My advice? Stop in, say hello to Raymond, grab a pretzel or some ice cream, and take a look at that beautiful furniture. You might just find yourself staying longer than you planned!

The food court had 2 people, that hallway and the main hallway had 10 people that I could see. The 2 of us, the 2 in the food court, a mom, Dad and little kid, a janitor and 2 more barely visible. Most stores were closed or empty. Pennys was open but I dont like Pennys. If you have your heart set on a particular store, I would call in advance. We were going to Bath and Body Works. I was worried but it was open. Oh there was a small live band playing their heart out near the food court. They were decent but I felt bad for them. The mall was empty. No one was there to enjoy them. The mall itself was clean. But at 2pm on a Sunday, a prime shopping time, at least 40% of stores were closed for the day. I remember back in the day when Kauffmann's and Macy's were there and still took pride in their store, this mall was bustling. Not anymore. It is sad.

I thought we wouldn't be in very long because it didn't look like so big of a place. Inside it's not huge, but we were in there close to an hour. The shop is clean, well-lit, and, most importantly, well-curated. I tried on some hats and looked at brooches. My friend tried on four outfits and bought three. The owner, Toni, made my friend a good deal on the bundle. Toni goes here and there, including to estate sales all over the area, to pick out great finds for her shop. I left with a pillbox hat and two brooches. I was going to give the brooches to my mother, but I'm wearing one on my blouse and the other is on my hat, so... we'll see whether they actually make it to my mom. Toni even threw in one brooch for free. Oh, and that pillbox hat? It was like new. Tags still attached, and the velvet was so soft. I'll definitely stop by next time I am in Mansfield, and I wouldn't be surprised if my friend comes by regularly.
