Excellent service. The best churros and facturas in town!

I was all hyped to go here because our friends recommended it, they set my expectations high and i think thats why I got disappointed. The atmosphere felt like a school cafeteria, overpopulated and loud. This isnt why I´m giving it 3 stars, I have kids Im used to LOUD and crowded. LOL The food just didnt cut it for me. It tasted frozen and deep fried. Nothing tasted fresh. The calamari weren't bad but my entree tasted like chalkboard. Since I make this at home when i order it.. its easy to tell if it is freshly breaded and fried and if it came out of a freezer and into a deep fryer. The chicken had no flavor so it probably wasn't even marinaded. I think it was a bit overpriced for the taste, but priced well for the location. Since the food wasn't all that we didnt even order dessert. The service was OK considering there was 101 people in there and not that many servers. Won't be returning. read more

Parking can be difficult depending on what time you go. We went around 7pm and parked across the street in a parking lot that you need to pay for. So beware of the parking situation. The staff was very friendly and even friendlier if you speak Spanish. The food was absolutely delicious. We ate the empanadas, beef milanesas, gnocchi with bolognese, sandwiches de miga, French fries, potato frittata and churros (don't worry... we were with a party of 6). ALL FOOD IS RECOMMENDED. It's a very family oriented restaurant so you can bring children. It's also a couple blocks from the water so we walked it off when we were done. Overall-- check out this place if you're in town. What a great place to watch the Game. Food is really good too. Many of the classic Argentine dishes at a great price (Not South Beach prices). I use to live around the area and would make a weekly visit for breakfast pastries. Honestly everuthing ive tries from the Pizza to the Churros, were all delicous. If your going for the game, get there early. Like 2 hours early. It's gonna get packed. It use to be free to watch the game but now you have to consume a minimum of $20 per person. Worth every penny. They don't take any reservations and the whole party must be present to be seated on game day. If your going on a regular day, just walk 8n and you can sit in less than 5 minutes. We were attracted by the name. My abuelito papi and my Uncle were both Manolos. Manolo didn't come to play. It is literally a one stop shop, they have it all and then some more. Sadly we had to narrow it down to just a few. We had the Milanesa. Many Cuban restaurants think a milanesa is covered in sauce and/ or cheese It's not. This was done right. It was so good. The steak was a perfect thickness, tender and lightly marinaded. The breading was crispy and flavorful. The egg was cooked to perfection. Fries come with it. Large portions. The milanesa full is enough for two. We also had the Arugula salad. Wow. So delish it was crisp, and so fresh. Toasted bacon bits and lovely chunks of cheese made it the star of the meal. I took a slice of the cake that looked like heaven, merengue and merengito chunks on the top and sides, peaches and candied nuts. OMG. They have a large selection of fresh cakes, cookies and pastries. You get the sense of the "family style" in every facet. I loved it and will definitely be back. read more

Evening started off VERY rocky. They weren't expecting a crowd for the women's World Cup game and it showed. We waited 20 min to be helped and we only got helped then because we begged another server to help us. Then the kitchen was overwhelmed and apparently our order got shoved back so it took over 30 minutes for us to get our food, while smaller tables who where seated well after we placed our order got their food before us. We had to complain to the manager to finally get our food, and even then one of the six dishes didn't arrive till almost 10 minutes after the first five. Service picked up at this point and the manager came over to tell us we would get one order, all drinks and desserts for free, plus we weren't to tip. So kudos to the restaurant for making it right. And the food was delicious. We had calamari, a burger, a spinach ravioli and the mixed planchita (beef and chicken with onions, pepper, mushrooms and bacon). It was all delicious and perfect portion sizes. For our free desserts we ordered the six scoop banana split, a dulce de leche churro, the caramel wrap and caramel crepes topped with whip cream. The banana split had a chocolate caramel scoop that was incredible and a delicious chocolate scoop that tasted fudgy. One of best chocolates I've had. The caramel wrap was good, but Coates in coc out which I wasn't expecting and don't like. So I shared and was told it was great. The churros are always incredible and the crepe was so good I wished I had ordered that one. So in short, don't come on a soccer game day if you are just there for the food. Came in on a Sunday afternoon with about 9 people. We were in search of gelato and found a selection of about 10/12 flavors. Unfortunately about 4 of the flavors were variations of "dulce de leche"... in my honest opinion, there's only so many ways to variate that flavor. We were allowed to taste various flavors at the counter and then we're seated and served quickly. Service was quick, ice cream was good to satisfy an itch but there are much better options in Miami. Upon perusing the menu, prices seems high for Latin. However, we only tried ice cream and espresso. The espresso was not up to par with other options in South Florida. Extremely crowded restaurant anytime of day. Seems they never can close on time due to the volume. They sell everything from pizza to pastries. We got there 15 min before what we thought was closing just for some Cuban coffee and dessert. We ordered the chocolate filled churros and 2 coffees. Coffee was okay we had better the churros were very good. All the pastries were gone so that's what was left besides some cake. read more

I can't deny that the food at Manolos Is actually really good, if you come looking for an authentic typical Argentine restaurant, this is definitely it. The empanadas for a quick bite are among the best in Miami. The dulce de leche churros are without a doubt the best in Miami but if you come to sit for a real meal I suggest to order a milanesa or a steak. That being said depending on the time of day or God forbid there's an Argentine soccer game on, the place can get crowded and the service is slow. In fact instead of taking our order he hung out on the side looking at his phone and then passed our table onto another server. Our second server was excellent. My other complaint was the quality of the fresh orange juice, it was highly acidic and not say at all. I should have been advised of the taste. I ordered a miga with 2 fried eggs and it was so much cheese that I couldn't eat it. Then, we ordered an empanada that was not that good either. Great find in North Miami! Huge portions at reasonable prices. The cheese and onion empanada was delicious ordered to eat with Salad Manolo. The salad was huge with baby spinach and hearts of palm. I ate half and the next day there was enough to serve two more portions. The milkshake was great and only $5.50 which at these prices could become a habit! My friend had the chicken cutlets topped with fried eggs. The resto is a coffee shop that makes its own bread and desserrts .
