Almost immediately we knew we'd like it...the outside dining was very pleasant and our server, Simona, was very friendly, helpful and patient. (I mention her patience because I speak only a little Italian, and despite the fact that she speaks English well, she was very patient with me as I tried to order food and wine and have general conversation with her in Italian.) After making our dinner selections we asked Simona for a wine recommendation, emphasizing that we did not want a sweet, white wine. She explained that none of their white wines were sweet and thought I had made a good choice when I finally selected one. Before our meals came we had a small appetizer made from beets, a small egg and a little sauce..delicious! Our main meals were wonderful and afterwards Simona brought is a little local treat, some dessert wine with small donuts for dipping in the wine! She explained that they (not sure if this was the locals or her family) used to do this occasionally. We had a nice visit with her for a few minutes after dinner. I highly recommend this restaurant. The menu has a good variety of selections, listed under antipasti, primi, secondi and dolci. The wine list has a lot of options, too. The outside environment is lively and fun, with a nice shade covering and comfortable seating. I could definitely eat there again! Oh, and when you go? Hope to have Simona as your server!

There were local wines that paired perfectly with our meal. Flavors paired with local mushrooms were rich & buttery, yet light. I'm a fan of a salad & the side mista salads did not disappoint. House white Orvieto wine was really delicious. We had no room for dessert. It was one of the best meals of this trip to Italy, and if ever in the area again we will make a point to eat here again.
