Unless your child is doing a related project on animals or insects, I highly recommend against going. We took our kids, ages 5 and 6, to this exhibit, Grande Galerie de l'Évolution, and to the Children's Museum (Galerie sea Enfants) (nestled in the same building) on the recommendations of a few internet sites. We thought this was the museum itch that would captivate the kids and our interest (as the kids would not be able to handle a visit to the Louvre). It was only okay. It cost about 40€ for our family of 4 for the two exhibits. We love museums and spend hours visiting them at home but this museum was eh...just okay. It wasn't worth the waste of our time in Paris. Our kids and we would have been much happier revisiting the Luxembourg Gardens again (they have a kids' playground that's a small fee for all day access. The playground is enclosed and has a Tarzan swing, great play features, water fountains, and much more). If we had it to do again, we would not have come to this museum at all. The Galerie de l'Évolution was much better than the Children's exhibit (it was a big dud).

There is plenty of space to accommodate visitors without feeling crowded. This is NOT the aquarium near the Eiffel Tower, contrary to some of the reviews that I have seen here. This aquarium is on the east side of Central Paris near Bois de Vincennes. This is a great place to visit just outside of Central Paris.

It gets better with the main attraction being the large salt water aquarium where the sharks are. Also they have a huge koi pond that all kids had there grimy hands in, yuck. We didnt watch any movies but the whole thing lasted a little over an hour. My 4 year old thought it was cool. I did too especially the whole jelly fish section. They have a all you can eat sushi buffet for 25 euros but it smelled, well fishy. If you have time and kids, i would do this activity but not really worth it.

I enjoy setting off as a flaneuse and exploring cities and neighborhoods I'm less familiar with, and as I was browsing along the Rue du Faubourg Saint Antoine, I was very pleased to have stumbled upon a pocket of green in the middle of a busy, commercial thoroughfare. The elegant Le Square Trousseau is something of a miniature Jardin du Luxembourg, with dusty paths dotted with tall trees and flower plots leading to a carousel and other amusement for kids. The square is gated and almost seems private and exclusive but is in fact open to all. Benches line the perimeter, and as I occupied one, I enjoyed listening to a variety of languages spoken by people soaking up some sun and green and kids' playing, none of whose voices, individually or collectively, were loud enough to disturb my tranquil contemplation.

There are some pretty interesting animals, bird and reptiles. There are a few sections of the zoo under renovation. B and I did end up spending about 2 hours here. Yes they do have some rare animals / spices. Like the red panda, Arabian oryx, orangutans and etc. Note that the zoo closes at 6 PM and last admission is 5:15 pm. Yes just slightly before 5:15 pm, the ticket seller will close the till. B came here two days before our visit and we were told that tickets are not being sold because we were 5 mins late. This is actually a good thing I guess. Ménagerie is one of the oldest zoos in Paris and is also one of the oldest zoo in the world. It opened its door back in the 1700s. Admission is €13 per person. We have noticed that this zoo is not visited by a lot of foreigners. B and I came in September and it was very quiet.

Beautiful church, you are allowed to walk through and visit at no charge. Once you reach the top of the hill and step foot in the cathedral grounds, you have a complete 360 degree view of Paris France! It is worth the trip and the hike up, the views are spectacular. We went in October so the weather was nice and the crowds were not too bad. The cathedral was beautiful inside and out, I was able to take pictures inside. It's been wonderful to go back and review the beauty over and over again.

We live near one of the world's…read moregreatest zoos (San Diego Zoo), and we were totally satisfied with the Parc Zoologique de Paris. We didn't feel like it was in any way underwhelming or disappointing. On the contrary ,we were impressed with the very modern habitats, which seemed quite a bit roomier than most zoos, while not quite as spacious as the more open wild animal parks. Of course, as is the case with any zoo, you won't get to see every animal, as, you know, they're wild animals and can't be told to be in the window at all times. But as my wife pointed out, all the snakes can be found under their heat lamps! We will definitely be back next time we're in Paris.
