Came here to get my hair blow dried for my anniversary dinner on Monday. I made an appt with Jackie and was taken on time when I got there. I've used living proof shampoo and conditioner before, which I love, and Jackie was extremely knowledgeable and explained their other products to me. I don't know how to blow dry or curl my hair for the life of me.. zero coordination. Jackie did my hair exactly as I wanted, blow dried it and curled the ends. Came out perfect! It's a little expensive for frequent visits but definitely worth it for important events! read more

I was in desperate need of an eyebrow and sideburns wax and stumbled upon this place while waking around Market Street. I walked in and the guy who greeted me was super nice. It was my first time here and the place is super cute. The girl, Valerie, who did my waxing handed me a mirror so I could show her exactly what I wanted done. The waxing took about 20-25 minutes or so which is about average for me. Though this place is a tad bit pricey ($42 and then I left an $8 tip) I do feel like they try to take the time to understand what you want done and make sure you're leaving satisfied instead of rushing through the whole process. I also feel like this place is located in an ideal spot, next to Starbucks and not too far from everything else. Though it is near MiniLuxe, I do think I'll be back to this place in the future. read more

I just want to start by thanking Jeffrey for being so amazing. I got my hair done on Friday April 21 (raining all day). I got beautiful curls on Friday , really gorgeous curl/wave on Saturday and I'm waking up for work on Sunday morning with a beautiful wave.I don't know what he did but I'm never going to anyone else. Pretty disappointed, called Saturday at 4pm (as I was parked outside) asking if they had time for a gel polish change and they said they were closing soon so no. They close at 6pm on Saturdays. Pretty disappointing I wont try again in the future. read more

Absolutely awful. I wouldn't even give one star except that its making me. Booked an apt for my daughter for a special occasion. Made the booking online, it asked for the apt day, time, who I wanted the apt with all of which I filled out and it also charged my credit card $40 and emailed me a receipt. When we showed up I was told by the girl at the desk that we don't have an apt we just bought the service. "Huh??????" She said I needed to click further through after I confirmed and was charged and sent a receipt. Makes absolutely no sense. Needless to say my daughter was heartbroken as they turned us away with only a few hours before her special occasion with only a credit of what I paid (well of course because I didn't get the service). Never again. I scheduled and paid for an appointment in Lynnfield on the website. A few days before my appointment I was involved in an accident, on crutches and needed my hair done for a formal gala in Boston. When I arrived they told me my appointment was in Peabody. I explained that it was not. I would not have booked it there. I drove down from Maine. One young girl said, "It happens all of the time." There is a known issue with their software. I explained it didn't matter, I just needed my hair done so I could get to my event. They turned me away and said they were too busy. When I asked to speak to a manager another young girl told me no one was available to help me. I explained that I paid and I couldn't believe they were tuning me away. Didn't care. Took 2 more calls to get my refund. I did receive an email after my refund offering me a free blow dry. (It was for a special updo) Worst customer service. If I wasn't injured and on crutches I would have not been so upset. But non the less it was horrible! My friend raves about the place and told me to go there after my accident. They lost at least 2 customers! read more

LOVE this salon! I have been for blowouts multiple times for walk-in and scheduled appointments and I always leave feeling great! My most recent visit with Cheressa was my favorite. She did a fabulous job and I received so many compliments. I love the products they use and have bought multiple from their salon. It is a bit pricey for a blowout (typically $50) with tip, but when I am in need of a quick blowout they always have my back! read more

FANTASTIC experience at Mane+Mani! I scheduled a blowout for a wedding I attended on my own wedding anniversary, so I wanted to feel fabulous. Mane+Mani exceeded expectations! I was running late, and called them frantically from traffic, and Katie, who took my call, was so understanding and guided me in how to proceed to make the most of my appointment. My stylist was excellent, and when she overheard me share that the wedding wasn't for another few hours, she styled me so my hair would fall into perfect waves by the time I hit the dance floor. I was so grateful for her attention to detail. I'll definitely be back!! read more

I have been to Mane and Mani numerous times, and have always had a great experience. I went this past Saturday and had the WORST experience. My stylist was miserable, she barely asked how I wanted my hair, took over an hour and a half to do "beach waves" like I requested - which turned out to be tight tight curls. When I was turned around I asked her to brush them out because I requested a beachy look - to which she rolled her eyes and did so relentlessly. The front of my hair then looked bizarre - as it was sticking straight out. I asked if she could just smooth the front out a little to which she again rolled her eyes visibly frustrated and ran the straightner through it, making it look even worse. I was so disappointed at this point, plus running out of time till my event that I said I would just fix it at home and left. I needed to wash and re-do my own hair upon arriving home. All in all, I was really disappointed in the service. The only reason I did not give this one star was because the woman who washed my hair was very nice, friendly, and did a great job - I wish I had her the whole time!!! I had a wonderful experience at Mane & Mani. I was immediately greeted and offered a beverage when I arrived. I had booked a blow out with Jamie S. She was on time and got my appointment started right away. She took the time to ask me about my hair, and what I wanted the end result to look like. We reviewed the pictures I brought with me and she discussed the styling process she was going to follow before we got started, which I appreciated as I am very particular about my hair. I absolutely loved the end result. Jamie has been working with hair for over 10 years, and you can tell she knows what she is doing. I have long, curly, thick hair, which is very difficult to style by most stylists. But not Jamie - she is a professional, along with being very personable. At the end of the appointment she made sure to review with me what to do (i.e. let the curls fall naturally and not run my fingers through the curls). So bummed. I've been coming to Mane and Mani over the past year and half for different occasions and I've always left completely satisfied. I love to treat myself to a blow out every once in a while; they're expensive but I consider them to be worth it since they normally last me 2 full days + some and still look amazing. I came in on Saturday afternoon and was totally unimpressed with the service I received. Normally I receive a warm introduction from the stylist and they really care about what you want done, but my stylist didn't even introduce herself to me, just jumped right to "what do you want". Could've just been a bad day for her, I'm not sure but if I ask for curls, you shouldn't respond with "Can I do it with a straightener or do you need me to use a curling iron"... sounds a little rushed when this is supposed to be a relaxing experience. The blow dry itself was very, very quick, which left me with zero volume. Normally the stylist will ask if you're happy with everything and see if anything needs to be changed which I LOVE about them, but this stylist turned me around and went "okay you're done.".. I asked for loose waves and I got tight, tight curls with no body. These fell over the course of the night and looked great for an hour, but by 9pm my hair was flat and curl-less. I usually can have my blow dry last for at least 2 days so by the next morning, I was especially disappointed that I'd wasted my money. Again, maybe it was a bad day which I understand, but I'm definitely going to re-think spending $50 on a blowout when I can do better work on my hair and not be rushed out of the salon. read more

Two of my friends brought me here before going out for my birthday dinner on Saturday. The three of us had our hair blown out and they did a great job. We were welcomed as soon as we walked in. They took us right on time. The person that did my hair her name was Cherise (I may have spelled that wrong). I have very curly hair that I wanted blown out straight. She consulted with me before going to shampoo station and asked me a few questions about what I wanted done. She shampooed/conditioned my hair and gave me a little massage that was very nice. She then did the blow dry. There are no mirrors in front of you and I will admit that made me a little nervous but when she turned me around when she was done I was quite surprised and happy with the final product. While blow drying my hair they have two big screen tv's that you can watch that are on closed captioned and that was nice to watch because as you know it is kind of hard to chat with the blow dryers on. The place was very clean and the women working there all seemed very professional. I will definitely go back and I really hope my next experience is as great as the first. When I do go back I will be requesting Cherise. read more
