I walk past here every day and I haven't been in once. Its Pancake day today and I trolled thorough the internet to find somewhere close for me and my colleagues to have pancakes at.
There wasn't any where close we could go to within our lunch hour time.
We walked past this business and music was blaring with happy smiley people beckoning us to go in. 2 pancakes for a £1 and the money goes to charity. Nice one!!
We handed over our quids and directed to the kitchen hatch to pick up our pancakes. Big fresh pancakes with a small table with all the toppings you could have dreamed off.
The place was busy and a nice atmosphere about it. The priest welcomed everyone at the door which was nice. As well as being a part of the catholic church they also run a food bank facility from here, which they provide food to the homeless Manchester. Manchester has a big homeless problem. The university sometimes have food left over after events/functions, so I will be donating it here now.
Nice place and atmosphere. Normally a nice coffee/tea place in the day. I am not catholic but they invited everyone in and made them feel welcome. I suggest a stop if you are close by. read more
