History
Established in 2009.
Our name was devised in 2009, when our Founder Allie Astell came up with it during a call to her sister. At that time the aim was to help people to maintain their websites (whatever the platform). But the niche that we found, project managing the build of WordPress websites while maintaining existing ones shifted dramatically.
Soon a friend casually asked if Allie had heard of a relatively new, unknown platform called Squarespace. That moment changed everything. Curious, Allie built her own website, learning about web design as she went along. Since then Allie and the team have created hundreds more.
These days Squarespace has millions of customers around the globe and was ranked Number 8 on the Forbes Cloud 100 2016 list. In 2015 we were added to the official Squarespace Specialists list after being interviewed by their New York HQ and we now run training sessions, including Squarespace workshops for Guardian Masterclasses.
Meet the Business Owner: Allie A.
I founded Manage My Website back in 2009, building our first ever website on Squarespace 5. Since then I've built and project managed more websites on this platform than I could ever have imagined and I'm also a Squarespace tutor for Guardian Masterclasses.
What I love most about my work is the people I meet, both face-to-face and virtually. Many of our clients have also become friends.
Born in Morocco to a Syrian mother and English father, as a child I travelled much of the world with my parents. The travel bug never left me. I currently base myself between London, England and
Dahab, Egypt.
Another major passion of mine is iPhone photography.
