I stayed in Bologna with my partner for about 4 days because we heard it has some of the best food…read morein Italy and the people were right! This place was right across the street from our AirBnB which was a very popular street and I loved it so much we came here twice. We started with the caprese salad and the cheese is so juicy and fresh. The tomatoes had a good snap and flavorful. The basil is so incredibly fragrant. I will get this every time! We tried the tortellini in cream sauce for the pasta and I liked it but I I realized I prefer the larger tortellini as you get more filling with those. I did appreciate that they did the tortellini al dente. Now the pasta I loooooved was the larger tortellini filled with ricotta and ragu sauce. The tortellini were so tender and the filling was creamy and savory. The ragu on top was a star! It was packed with flavor and just the ragu sauce you want. We also had the ricotta cheesecake which was tasty and had a bit of tang. My favorite was this ice cream they had (I forgot what it was called) but it was hazelnut with chocolate I believe. I got a double espresso at the end and poured it over this dessert like an affogato and it was soooo yummy. It basically was like if Ferrero Rocher was ice cream! The service here is really great and the servers are very kind. They were able to accommodate us even without a reservation. Also definitely get the house wine! It's affordable and great tasting.

We sat in the front bar area at a cozy little table. Our waiter greeted us and brought water as soon as we sat down. He explained some of the dishes too. The waiter was also a bartender and made an amazing espresso martini using Fabrizi syrups. The syrups added a lot of flavor. An ext dove wine list is also available of course. The Lambrusco was very good too. Our waiter recommended the tortellini in forma. It was made table side in a parmigiana wheel. The cheese was creamy and very good. We added white truffles which added a nice contrasting note. It was fun to watch it being prepared! The lasagna verde was good but could have used some more sauce. It was a little dry. . The Stringozzi guanciale E pistachio was good with al dente pasta. The guanciale added a little saltiness with the crunch of the pistachios. The pork loin was good but basic. The potatoes and greens added a nice touch. All in all the restaurant had good food and a nice staff

We had the amazing cheese wheel tortellini which was served tableside and my husband had a spectacular lamb. The bread was great as well.

Right smack in the foodie corner of Bologna where all tourists must visit, is this little food-hall…read moretype of market, offering a variety of restaurants and booths offering many delicacies. Seafood, pizza, pasta, sandwiches, burgers... as well as drinks and desserts. There is a common area of tables and chairs, plus a few restaurants with their own seats. It's crazy busy during dining hours, so go at off hours if you can to avoid the crowd. Many of the shops have bilingual menus or visual displays of their dishes, plus a staff with good command of English, so ordering shouldn't be difficult. We ate at one of the restaurants called Sorelle Ribelli, and tried a pasta dish gramigna (a local specialty), and it was excellent. Wish we had more time to explore the market better and tried more food, but as it was only a day trip for us we had to move on to sightseeing. If we ever make it back to Bologna, we'd love to stop by again.
