    4 filled pastas

Fun and relaxing The well-organized class comprised demos along with hands-on shaping of 4 different filled pastas. It was great fun and MamaFlorence provides comprehensive instructions for all recipes by email.

What an amazing class. On this trip, my family and I visited 3 cities, experienced so many wonderful things in Italy, and this class was by far, hands down, my favorite experience of the trip. If you're looking to take a step back from all the overwhelming crowds, the tours, and city life, but still want to have an authentic and absolutely engaging Italian experience, you have to take this class. I had a bit of an issue actually placing the order to take this class, but the online staff helped me through the process and was so great with following up and making sure we were all set. There were 3 of us, and we took the "Hands-on Pasta Making Cooking Class in Florence" with Chef Danny and Chef Laura. In addition to us, there was a group of 6 which made a very cozy, comfortable, pleasant and intimate class. The place was clean, welcoming and easy to find. These chefs carry so much experience, you really can feel it during the class. They kept it fun and organized. It was easy to understand, and they were so friendly and helpful. The food was amazing! After learning how to make pasta, learning about the sauces, they cook for you and serve you a wonderful Italian dinner, and my goodness was it delicious. Everything about this class was perfect. I have no complaints, and I would recommend this to anyone who is taking a trip to Florence. There is so much I could say about the quality and details this class provided, but you really just need to be amazed yourself. It was absolutely wonderful. Thank you so much to Chef Danny, Chef Laura and the Mama Florence for making this the highlight of my trip to Italy.

I highly recommend booking this cooking class while visiting Florence. It is a once in a lifetime experience and was the highlight of my trip. Everyone was extremely helpful and informative. They also gave us coffee and biscotti before the class. We made a salad, three different types of homemade pasta and a dessert. Each was paired with a glass of wine. We got to enjoy our salad outside and our meal inside at a table with everyone from the class. They also had some small, cute souvenirs along with olive oil and balsamic vinegar for purchase. You get a copy of the recipes to take home.

We LOVED this place. My friend and I took the pasta course with chef Michele and had the BEST time! We were a little intimidated at the prospect of making pasta from scratch, but we breezed right through it! I love that we were given the recipes of everything we made so we can (attempt) to make it again. So happy we took this course! Already looking forward to our next trip to Italy and can't wait to take another class.

Unfortunately I didn't have the opportunity to attend any of the classes, though I wish I would have. However, I did carefully observe just about everything of their operations and the instructors left no detail to chance or uncovered. For example I noticed one student incorrectly cracking an egg against a knife edge and immediately saw two chef instructors showing him and instructing him on how to properly do it against a flat surface and they didn't leave him until he got it right. Also the instructors are constantly observing, tasting, having the students taste and advising throughout the entire process of students cooking. The instructions and classes are done in a totally "hands on" process of instruction. Furthermore you'll find that most of the students aren't comprised of armatures or wannabe cooks, but those who are already professionals and are there to improve and further hone their culinary talents. I've fortunately had the opportunity to observe many schools of cooking and culinary instruction including those of the Culinary Institute of America and have to say that those of the La Scuola di Cucina Lorenzo Medici were amongst the most impressive.

We selected florentine tomatoes and porcini mushrooms for our necessary ingredients. Upon arrival at the Cordon Blu cooking school, we were greeted by Gabriella the founder and owner. The preparation was fun and with Thomaso's guidance, educational. We totally enjoyed our delicious meal and gained incredible satisfaction knowing we created it ourselves. We strongly recommend taking a cooking class from the Cordon Blu to enhance your Florence vacation, and allow you to bring home some knowledge to make some Italian meals back home....and by the way "you're welcome!"
