While traveling to FL from the Atlanta area, we had a malfunction of our 2023 Highlander A/C,…read morenoticing that it was not cooling. When my husband called and was connected with the service department, he asked the receptionist for an appointment to come in the same day within two hours when we would be arriving in Valdosta. She ended up kindly giving us a time to come in and told us to ask for our service rep Antonio. When we pulled up there were a few cars in the check in queue as it was a busy day at the dealer. After about 15 minutes, Antonio got us checked in. Before an hour passed, Antonio came to us in the waiting area to inform us that the problem had been identified by the service tech as an object from the road having made a hole in the AC condenser... not good news, fortunately thanks to Antonio and team... this will be fix by Friday hopefully by mid day...And one observation, there are a lot of employees at this dealer in some areas seemingly hanging around not doing anything. Is there possibility some connection between this and the two star rating? My husband and I spent the first fifteen minutes looking closely at a brand new 2025 4Runner Limited, sitting in it, looking at the sticker and not one sales representative ever approached us even to say hello or how we were doing. Things that make you go hmmm. This a high 3.75 rating for customer service.

Update-I did receive a call from the local GM and he sternly expressed to me why I couldn't be…read moreprovided a different car and why they kept using the same mechanic. He also stated that he drove my car after this 3rd fix and it was running fine. The service manager said he drove it after the 2nd fix and it was running fine...but after I took it on the highway the coolant was boiling and the fan under the hood stayed on after turning off the car. That gives me reason enough to believe it is not fine...Anyway, for anyone interested in purchasing a vehicle from here I will say PROCEED WITH CAUTION! With the money I spent on this vehicle, I could have saved to get a cash car. Even if the cash car needed repairs, I could take it to a capable mechanic without having to continue making payments.

Worst mistake of my life!!!! Purchased a 2013 Nissan Altima from the Valdosta, Ga location. The car…read moreran hot in 11 days!!! I called Car Mart to make them aware. Was told to drive the car to get a diagnostic. I was like the car is running hot!!! I did just that!!! Took it to a Firestone location. Diagnosed as needing a thermostat replaced. I did notice that posted everywhere in the shop are signs stating, "We DO NOT perform oil changes for Car Mart, if you would like to have the service done it would have to be paid out of pocket!" I was like, "Ok what is up with that." Spoke with Firestone concerning this because of course that's where I got the car. When I spoke with them about it, I knew it was going to be an issue!!! Anyway, so I called the service dept and spoke with Evan and he stated that they don't trust Firestone and they will have "their" mechanic diagnose and repair. I knew then that it was going to be a problem, especially after speaking with Firestone and their issues with Car Mart. I was then told to bring the car back to Car Mart to sign the service contract and to take the car to Renita at American Rent-A-Car. Unbelievable!!! They want me to continue to drive a car that is running hot!!! I did just that!!! It took 2 weeks to get the car back!! "Their" mechanic diagnosed it as a faulty reservoir. Not!!!! The car ran hot 10 minutes after getting it back from them leaving me stranded on the side of the dark road for 6 hours!!! I am a disabled breast cancer patient that can't sit that long. I called CarMart back immediately and was told to have the vehicle towed back to Renita the next day. Now as no surprise, the engine is blown!!! Fast forward to today 05/25 and the car is STILL at that shop and I've been promised this vehicle since 04/02. They have had the car so long since purchasing that the registration has expired!!! The temp tag was 6 weeks out!!! I've filed with BBB, called corporate, and reached out to GM. Nothing!!!! I asked for a trade and was told that it was past 7 days so they couldn't do that. I was also told that if I wanted something else I would need to do another application and be approved for two cars!!! Plus an additional down payment!!! I asked to have the vehicle taken to my own mechanic and was told that I would have to pay for repairs myself!!! When signing paperwork I was told that the vehicle could be taken to the mechanic of my choice, but apparently that's not the case!!! I am so over this company and their lies and lack of communication!!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS with these people!!! I don't know what happened to the old management but these new people are ridiculous and it won't be long before this company is out of business!!!

I was rushed through a digital contract that showed the price as over $11,000 higher than advertised ($42,280 on their website, $53,000 on the contract...that I couldn't even see until after signing), and I was denied a paper copy despite asking. The Monroney (sticker) was not provided, the odometer reading was misrepresented, and the dealership refused to engage with Capital One (the lender), even after they agreed to rescind the loan due to the questionable nature of the deal. Most alarming: while preparing the truck for return, I found a fully loaded firearm magazine under the passenger seat. I immediately turned it over to the local police (Tifton), who took a report and notified the department in Valdosta. This was not just poor service -- it involved deceptive practices, price manipulation, and a major safety oversight. Until this is addressed, I strongly advise others to stay away.
