There is limited exterior signage so it can be quite easy to miss, and practically impossible to just stumble upon. Basically once you find the address, walk down the hall and then follow the stairs on the left down to the basement. The bar is visible as you descend down the stairs. There are two rooms deeper in the basement and above each table there is a picture hung with one of the Harry Potter characters. Make sure you note which character you're seated at so that they can bring your order to you. There is one dimly lit room full of couches which is lit up by only a fireplace and candles. The other room is larger with about nine tables. Not a good place for large groups though. Once you find a table you must return to the bar to place your order. I ordered a cold "butter beer" (which contains no alcohol). It was a nice sweet treat on a warm day. They also have an assortment of cakes available (and even magic beans). Near the bar they have a pile of board games that you can play. This cafe seems to appeal to a crowd of all ages, from children to adults. They also just recently opened another location in Kazimierz.

Some of them sleep in their beds, other walk around and I even saw one sleeping on the knees of one of the clients. There are some rules about what not to do at the place (you can't take pictures with the flash or wake up sleeping cats), but in general you can play with them, stroke them and even feed them with food provided to you by the bar's staff. The place was created to promote adoption of cats and educate people about how to treat these animals. At Kocia Kawiarnia Kociarnia you can also donate money and food for the Krakow Animal Shelter. The staff is very friendly and the ambience is very quiet. I really enjoyed the idea and the atmosphere of the place and definitely will visit it more times.

She did this once to my son and a second time to another customer. The set up for the cats to entertain themselves is awesome. Love the love for the kitty cats, but congenial staff would be amazing. We ordered cappuccinos that were a bummer as well. We visited the bunny cafe twice during our trip with lovely staff, coffee and treats and bunnies. Would definitely not recommend this place.
