The seats (although I didn't sit down) are super comfortable. The stage is a nice size, in no way close to an amphitheater stage but about double the size of a venue like Spaceland. The lobby upstairs is sizable and inviting with views of the ocean. I was lucky enough to volunteer for the Moby (yes, THAT Moby) concert and was able to go all over. The Performing Arts Center is also a recording studio. Apparently, artists with large posses will rent out the entire center. There is a nice backstage area with a small changing room, a kitchen and a bigger backroom attached to the stage. There is also a large room to the left of the stage (where the after party was). The offices and banquet room, as well as the recording studio, are upstairs. It must still be fairly new as everything is in pristine condition. Even if you aren't fortunate enough to see a world-class-act here, it's still a great place for any event or soiree. And yes, I did get to say hello to Moby. He is one nice guy.

The acoustics were great, carrying a very warm feel from the sounds on stage. Parking is most definitely NOT a problem, the staff is kind, helpful, and numerous. I got a glass of Cabernet. The bar is up front right when you walk in, great service and everyone working is really nice. Inside has plenty of seating in the garden, large tables and picnic tables around. You can also bring in your own food for your own picnic experience. They also offer small bites and a pizza spot off to the side. **On Fridays and Saturdays they offer silent disco (FCFS base).

We didn't know what to get so we got two flights. The wine was good. I enjoyed my whites and he enjoyed his reds. I don't have notes on the wines but I do have on the beer I tried. Beer I tried: El Rey: Sharp bite hits your throat. Pliny the Elder: tastes off Fuckified: Funky. Tastes a little off Oktoberfest: Tastes like a regular Oktoberfest I give my lower rating because I don't think the beer lines were cleaned. I tried Pliny the Elder before and it didn't taste as it normally does. So not sure if it was an older batch or the lines were not cleaned. Otherwise, the area is really nice. They were doing a photo shoot for the vineyard so we watched lol

The food (we each ordered a steak) was good but a little pricey and just needed salt, the staff was helpful and friendly, and contrary to previous reviews, the ladies room was well-supplied and clean. The one negative is the table seating. It's too crowded. It is very difficult to get out of your seat - it's a struggle to pass through your row. The music before the shows and afterwards is too loud and make it difficult to have conversations. We would go back to The Canyon - but this time we would sit in the General Admissions seating.

Waiting 1 1/2 hours for food to be delivered to the table was terrible. Perhaps Canyon should do pre-order meals in the future for better service. I know we don't come here for the food or the service. But we are made to purchase a meal, so it should at least arrive at the tables in less than an hour. We arrived 2 hours before the show and ate during the opening band. But let's face it Canyon Club gets amazing band and has incredible sound. We'll always be back for more. There's just room for improvement with the meal service. I saw quite a few people get up to complain food delivery was too long. Some were eating at 10pm. The band started at 8.

Loved the production, very professional, and am sure whatever other events are happening will be very professional as well. The Hillcrest Center is part of the Park Districts facility, tucked up on the hill. I had never been there before, and there is construction, and other challenges to getting to the facility, such as the entrance is on a side street, not on Hillcrest itself. But you will be glad you make the trip. Classes there are put on by the Conejo Recreation and Park District, and include classes for young musicians, and the opportunity to also review an art exhibit on premises. Check out http:://www.hillcrestarts.com to see the schedule.

If you want an evening of high energy, talent, joy, tears and top-notch entertainment, THIS IS THE SHOW TO GO TO! There's no free street parking nearby, so you'll most likely have to pay $16 to park in the lot there. You're not allowed to bring in food or drinks because they sell those items inside, and they also probably don't want you bringing in anything that isn't permitted. They had plenty of staff working the event, from security guards to ushers, helping people find their seats. As for the ambience, the place was well-decorated throughout the inside it was actually really nice. I would definitely recommend it if there's a show you want to see and it's being held at the Civic Arts Plaza. Don't hesitate to buy those tickets just be aware that you'll probably have to pay for parking.

Built to be a 1:1 replica of a destroyed villa from Mt. Vesuvius at Herculaneum, Mr. Getty really did his thing with this one!! I personally find the architecture of this museum to be its best part because it feels like you've been transported back into Ancient Rome before the eruption. The museum itself contains antiquities from Ancient Greece, Rome, and other societies both pre-dating the two civilizations from the same region as well as those that existed at the same time in different regions (Egypt) in an effort to put antiquity in context.
