Cheese! Coffee + treats Located on the outskirts of Maleny this is definitely worth a visit. Easy to get to - follow the main road and you'll see the sign - turn in there's a car park. Walk up the slope to the Cafe - there a range of local products on display. Behind the glass counter are a good range of snacks and treats. But you are here for the cheese - the display counter has a range of the Maleny Dairy products - flavored cheddars ( the Wasabi cheddar is a favorite ), Halloumi, Fettas and range of yoghurts. Since COVID 19, no free tastings - but order a platter small and large option to work out what you like. Coffee is good, the treats look great and have a home made quality. Really worth a drop in. read more

A quick search of the ol' Y.E.L.P before heading off on a day trip to Maleny led me to this wonderment of cheese, yoghurt and did I mention cheese? About 10 minutes outside of the main Maleny drag (Maple Street for those playing at home) is the Maleny Cheese factory where you can enjoy a coffee, sample the freshly made cheeses and even watch it all being made from the viewing windows. Extremely disappointed I couldn't bring any home with me (It was a day trip, yo, and I didn't bring an esky OR ice. I know, what was I thinking?!?), I made do with trying some of their specialities like smoked cheddar (10/10), triple brie, tuscan cheddar and Bald Knob Farmhouse Feta. All were far too easy to eat and knowing they're made locally with local ingredients just adds to the attraction. I'm not sure what else I can tell you to make you see that next time you're travelling North out of Brisbane that this is a MUST STOP DESTINATION (unless of course you're cheese adverse and if that's the case I may have to disown you). read more
Awesome little factory with a cheese cafe on the premises. It's a pleasant drive up into the mountains to get there and they have a very large selection of locally made cheeses, snacks and wine on hand. I would highly recommend the cheese platter; it's the best deal on the menu and comes with a generous amount of bread and crackers to go with the excellent cheese, representing the entire range of house made cheeses and a few others they've brought in from outside. There's a small gift shop as well with a selection of cheese knives, cheese board, wine caddies and the like. Definitely worth a visit and, if you go, be sure to bring home some cheese with you. read more
A cheese factory located in the picturesque Sunshine Coast hinterland dishing out delicious cheese - what isn't to love? They provide samples of all of their cheese - I lost count, numerous different cheddars (smoked, vintage, tuscan) brie, camembert, and more. All made onsite with local milk. I'm reliably informed by the friend I was there with that the yogurt is excellent as well. read more

Great selection of cheese and you can try everything before you buy one thing! Alright coffee as well. $20 tasting plate for two gives you mountains of cheese, and a take home box! ;-) read more

Visited here for lunch today with family. We made a booking ahead of time and when we arrived we were seated promptly at a table with a great view of the cheese making facilities. Meals were excellent value averaging around $10, favorites at our table included the open face grilled cheese sandwiches, and the 3 cheese tarts each served with a side salad. They also serve wine. We had yogurts for dessert and they will even throw some in for free if they are approaching their best before date. I got a latte which was also very good. They have indoor and outdoor seating available. Servers were friendly and helpful. read more

I recently traveled up to Maleny specifically to go to Maleny Cheese for lunch and to purchase cheese and yoghurts to bring home with me. When we arrived the staff looked at us and said nothing while we stood at the door for 5 minutes waiting for someone to greet or seat us. After we sat down a girl with pink/purple hair came over and rudely told us that we had to order at the counter. So when we went to order we stood waiting at the counter for a good 10 minutes while the 3 girls working stood around talking about their lives and weekends instead of serving us. When I asked the girl with the pink/purple hair at the counter for water she sneered at me, rolled her eyes and very rudely told me "its over there, you get it yourself". This is the WORST customer service I have ever had and probably wont ever go back or buy any of your products. When the 'cheese platter' came out it was just a few samples of cheese thrown on a plate. It was not a platter at all, and what kind of a cheese cafe serves their cheese with a bread and butter knife and not a cheese knife? It was a complete rip off and was so disgusted with the poor service that I left without buying any of the cheese or yoghurt as I didn't want to support their business. When I emailed them about the problems we had I got no response. Which made it clear to me that they know about their terrible service and rude staff and don't care about their customers. read more
