Such a great experience. It was a Thursday afternoon, we actually were going to get fro-yo as a treat for being so good when dental braces were tightened. (Eek!) well, my son has been asking for a new haircut so I swung by and asked if they cut little boys hair. They said, "Bring him on in! Sonya can see him right now." And she did! She listened to his request, and hooked him right up. He's 8 years old, so his request to look like a cartoon Anime character did not fall on deaf ears. She gracefully explained why the hair is different and why real boys and cartoon boys can't always have different the same hair. I'm glad he liked his haircut and I'm glad that she was able to interpret the language of "little boy". That's skill that can't be taught. After struggling for years with hair stylists who failed miserably to meet my needs, I finally found a true professional in Paul, who has been now cutting my hair for over four years. It's gotten to the point that I can just sit down in his chair and let him do his magic. As finicky as I've always been about my hair, that is saying quite a lot. In addition to being the consummate hair cutter, Paul is a great conversationalist, so the time it takes for him to finish -- about 15 minutes -- goes quickly. Felt at home as soon as I walked in. The place was neat clean and Paul who cut my hair is very personable and so he engaged me the whole time and made me glad I went to see him for my maiden haircut with him. I had been eyeing it for some time because was looking to make a change. I was getting this service at another barber where the music is blaring and the barber I got by default, because my preferred barber there left town, is a great guy but does not pay attention to the details and is seldom ready to start my cut at the appointment time always being behind schedule. I am not crazy about seeing the barber look at someone he is talking to as he is simultaneously attempting to cut my hair. I think it's disrespectful. I like to get in, show up on time or before as a courtesy to the barber, and get out. Paul gave me a great detailed cut at a significantly lower price which should be the average price point, especially for the type of cut I receive. You can make appointments which I always prefer. My husband and boys needed haircuts and through reviews I found out about this place. My boys hairstylist was on maternity leave and she cuts their hair with scissors, so I was on the hunt for someone who could do the same. My boys got a haircut with Rachael (the boys tell me). Our oldest has sensory issues and my husband told me how both her and Paul tried everything to help him. Paul even shaved his arm to show him the trimmer. I'm thankful for the patience they both had with him. My husband got a haircut with Paul, since his barber was out of town. I'm a picky Mama when it comes to my boys haircuts and I recommend them. I've been going to Male Image Barber Shop for 25 years. The owner (Paul) had his shop in Coconut Creek before moving it to Margate approx 15 years ago. I'm a Police Officer locally and have been getting my hair cut from Paul every 2-3 weeks for 25 years. I can tell you alot of Cops and Military members go in to Paul to get a cut because he does a phenomenal job on Military style hair cut. Weather it's a high & tight or a flat top, Paul is your man!!!! I'm gonna share another secret. He takes appointments. If he is open and your 30 minutes out, he can fit you right in. If not he will tell you how many he has in front of you and be EXTREMELY accurate on how long it would be before he can cut your hair. I NEVER have to wait longer than 5 minutes, upon my arrival. Usually I sit down right away or within a minute. Try it, you'll see what I'm taking about. The atmosphere in his Barber shop is calm and peaceful. There are 4 barbers (males&females) working at the shop. All are courteous and friendly. They have flatscreen TVs on the wall hanging in front so if you wanna watch it and not speak while getting a trim, that's fine too. There is a clean bathroom in the back where you can do your business and make deposit before your departure . So give this Barbershop a try and you'll be returning for yearsssssss like me.
