I am writing this review to hopefully spare anyone from going through what I did. I had been referred to Janice for my wedding and engagement makeup, I met with her twice to do a practice and confirm all of the details for my wedding. About 10 days before my wedding date I reached out to see if I could add my mom, so there would be 6 total ladies for wedding makeup. And after leaving a message and texting I never heard back from her. I tried emailing her just in case she had lost her phone or something, but never got a response. She left me stuck 10 days before my wedding having to scramble to find someone else! I am in the beauty industry, and while I understand things happen, to just disappear, after I paid for a practice, was so unprofessional! I had to find another makeup artist and pay for a second practice. Luckily I found Emily, who saved my butt and was able to do all of my bridesmaids and my mom last minute. I highly recommend her!! Sadly I know things happen but here it is 3 months after my wedding and Janice never had the decency to reach out and apologize or offer any explanation. Having your makeup person disappear 10 days before the wedding is awful! Do not use her unless you are willing to take that risk. read more

There aren't words to describe how beautiful Janice made me look on my wedding day. I found Janice on IG because I was in need of a makeup artist one month before my wedding due to my makeup artist canceling at the last min. I was so stressed out but what a blessing in disguise that ended up being. I live in the greater Los Angeles area and drove to San Diego for my trial, I absolutely love it!!!! The day of the wedding Janice showed up on time and ready to doll is up! I had 9 bridesmaids, my mother, my aunt and my mother in law. She started at 630am! YES! 630am. We were all ready by 230pm looking stunning!! Our makeup lasted all night and our pictures looked beautiful. I had a few bridesmaids who were also engaged at the time so this served as a bridal trial for the girls, they as well fell in love with her work. Since my wedding August 2014 Janice has done my friends Jennifer, Kimberly, Vanessa, and soon my friend Korin's wedding. Janice is our girl! As the mother of the bride I was excited for the special day. Janice first of all did not return messages to the coordinator until the day before the wedding, was late arriving and finished doing the makeup late. I explained that I wear little makeup and prefer to go minimal. She never addressed fine wrinkles around my mouth, no base eye moisturizer. Layer after layer after layer of make up applied to my eyelids and cheeks that caked into wrinkles. Even my daughter looked at me and said it was too much. My son started laughing when I walked into the hotel room! I went back and told her it was too much and the thick black eyeliner also had to go. She did not remove any of it and applied many more layers to cover it up. I was brought to tears. Too late to peal it all off and just apply my own usual tinted sunscreen. I dont think she knows how to apply makeup on older women. My daughter's was better fortunately. I've never left a bad review but I want to warn other mothers of the bride...be careful who your daughter chooses and watch in a mirror as makeup is being applied or you may yell out in fright when she hands you the small mirror when she's finally done! you may end up looking like a zombie! read more

I contacted Janice the week before our engagement shoot, as the previous makeup artist that I had booked canceled last minute. It turned out to be the best thing to happen! Janice was thankfully available and was so responsive! I was so happy with how she did my makeup for our engagement pictures, I literally booked her for our wedding the week after our engagement shoot. To me, hair and makeup are such an essential part of a bride's big day and Janice exceeded every expectation I had. My bridal party LOVED how they looked, we seriously felt like a million bucks!
