My daughter researched for a place to get her makeup done for her upcoming wedding and found Mindie via word of mouth. I am so glad she did! I went to her trial run appointment with Mindie and was very impressed with the thoughtful questions she asked and understanding of what would work. She was professional, friendly, offered tips, and did an amazing job. Mindie nailed it! My daughter opted to get airbrush foundation and some lashes too...sometimes when people do this the makeup wears them and that is all you notice. I thought Mindie's application was absolute perfection and she ended up looking natural, soft, and pretty. The entire wedding party and moms are all getting our faces done day of wedding and I cannot wait! The shop is absolutely darling inside too with bling, pink, and nice textiles. Definitely a nice place to go. Staff is friendly, atmosphere is nice. I got my makeup done by mindie for a boudoir photoshoot. I told her what I wanted and showed her a few pictures of the idea I wanted, she definitely delivered. It was 50 dollars for the makeup application and an extra 5 dollars for false eyelashes. Her online registration system acted like it took the registration, but when I showed up for the appt. she did not have me on the schedule. She took me on the spot, but the makeup work was average for a total cost plus tip of $100. read more

I went here for my wedding makeup and it turned out amazing. I brought several pictures for her to look at and she asked me several questions before doing my makeup to make sure that she did it exactly the way I wanted. I was a little nervous because many of Mindie's example before and after shots are very made-up and I don't typically wear makeup at all except mascara. I wanted a very natural look that was just a highlighting of my looks rather than an extreme departure from how I look from day to day. She totally respected my wishes for a very natural look and I loved the makeup she did for my trial so much that I didn't ask her to change anything about it for the wedding - it was perfect. She also was fun to talk to while she did my makeup. I liked her attitude and personality a lot. Her communication before the trial and the makeup for the wedding was exceptional. She responded best on Facebook messenger but she usually responded within a day. Her prices are consistent with other makeup artists for weddings in the area - actually less expensive than many in the twin cities. She does make you pay for a trial, but she adjusts her prices accordingly. For artists who do not charge for a makeup trial, they usually charge twice as much for bridal application and claim that the trial is "included." Mindie's trial is optional. I got the airbrush and fake eyelashes and even though I was skeptical about both (again, I don't wear makeup), they looked amazing when she put them on me. read more

I feel very disappointed in the services I received by Mindie. I was quite excited my girlfriend ranted and raved about how awesome she was and she had wonderful reviews so I was looking forward to a positive experience. Instead I found her to be not very personable which is a surprise in this industry. She was very rushed with her services and had a poor attitude and I'm not sure if it was stressful for her to be tending to a wedding party or if it was just a bad day but from what I know about quality services is that you leave your problems at the door and perform as a professional. She appeared very rushed although we were ahead of schedule she was antsy telling us how she needed to go and my make up well I could've done a better job than her 10-15 minute rush job. My make up was not even in the eyes she showed irritation when asking for an adjustment and it just wasn't pleasant. When I pay for services and a high pay at that I expect respect and to have what I want done. I even told her I had a picture to show her and she started to do my make up without even looking at what I wanted until I reminded her and she said she wasn't able to do that due to lack of product didn't state how she would try and do something even similar. read more

If I could give Mindie 10 stars, I would. She did an AMAZING job making me feel beautiful and confident on my wedding day, my appreciation is unending! I had a few bridesmaids that were uneasy about having their makeup done by someone else and they quickly changed their minds when they realized how great she is and that she was not going to try to "over do" their makeup. I sincerely recommend her for any occasion you are looking for a makeup application.
