Ivette did a wonderful job for my daughter's prom. I booked her for my wedding and she had set up her arrival at my house at 6:45AM because I have to be at the wedding venue by 9AM - wedding is at 10AM. Unfortunately, I had to wake her up that day. She arrived around past 7:30AM vs the expected 6:45AM. To me, it was fine, as long as I can be done by 8:30AM to make it at the venue by 9AM. I repeatedly asked if she would be able to finish at that time and I was assured yes, she can. She finished with me at 9AM. I arrived at the venue at 9:30AM. I had missed half an hour of photos with my photographer. A lot of details were not photographed - my hard work and expenses for the ring, gown were put to waste because they weren't photographed since I was 30 mins late. I was photographed while actually getting dressed because that was the only chance the photographer can take a photo of me. Ladies, if you had a wedding, I guess you could imagine how limited a 20 min photo shoot is. I just felt like crying. It felt like it has ruined my wedding day because that was the start. Ivette took my payment without even offering any compensation for her being late. If it was a party that I was going to, I wouldn't mind being late. The sad part is that it was my wedding. You took away the most important moment in my life! On my wedding day, on my way to the church I was nervous instead of excited, I was almost running instead of walking down the aisle. I was saying "I'm sorry, I was late" to my guests instead of "Thank you for coming!" While meeting my groom in front of the altar, no excitement because in few seconds I will be facing the priest that got so upset because I was late almost an hour!! Why? Because you came late in your appointment with me and you don't know how to manage your time! I wasn't happy with the service at all! I paid a little over $100 for hair and makeup and she came to my house so I did not have to go to hers but it was 100% worth the price. I had a very important task of finding a makeup artist and hair stylist for the bride and the ladies in the wedding party (3 adults and flower girl) for my brother's wedding which took place last weekend. So, naturally, I turned to Yelp to research the highly rated artists/stylists in the Santa Clarita area. I chose Ivett based on my first impression of her over the phone and how reasonable her prices were. I met her in person a couple of days later when I dropped off the deposit, and within the first 10 minutes of talking to her, I knew that I had made the right decision by going with her. It was obvious that she was very knowledgeable and passionate about hair and makeup. We had a rather long discussion about the different styles (both hair and makeup) that each member of the wedding party wanted. She had great suggestions for how to make certain styles work for us, and I could tell that she was excited talking about the different options. Ivett stayed in touch with me after our initial meeting, offered me ideas to help narrow down the style choices for everyone, and responded promptly and professionally to all my questions. We also had a hair and makeup trial for the bride a week before the wedding, and I was very impressed with how patient and thorough Ivett was throughout the trial as well as with the quality of her work. She took the time to address all of the bride's requests, and the bride was also very pleased with Ivett's work. On the day of the wedding, Ivett and her assistant Jaclyn arrived promptly before 5am, and they got to work immediately.
