This place is absolutely charming! The staff is incredibly welcoming and their selection of snacks and wine is extensive. It's the perfect spot for your happy hour or even a relaxing glass of wine before bedtime.
We tried their Pinot Nero the other night and it was delightful, so today we decided to go all in and order a bottle. It was displayed for 35 euros, but when we asked, they mentioned it would be around 43 euros. However, when we received the bill, it turned out to be 45 euros. I didn't realize until we had already left. That's a 22.2% markup, which seems quite steep. I went back to inquire about it and they explained that it was because we dined in, but that's usually referred to as a corkage fee, and I've never encountered such a high percentage for that. A few dollars or euros would be understandable, but a flat 10 fee seems excessive.
Despite feeling a bit scammed, we still had a lovely time at this place. The neighborhood is great, the staff is friendly, and there's a wonderful atmosphere with friendly patrons. They offer a good variety of options, and we'll definitely be returning (Togo only). It's conveniently located in the center of where we are, making it a perfect choice for a night out alone or a date night . read more
