But when Richard came along, he made me feel so at ease and offered support in any way he could. It felt more like he was a supportive friend than anything else. And honestly, he was the best decision we made. We booked our videographer based on who he worked well with, and we felt comfortable knowing that even if all the other vendors were terrible, Richard was going to be our light on our wedding day. We got to know him during our engagement shoot, and thank goodness we did. Because on our wedding day, it felt like seeing an old friend, which made us so happy to see him and photos easy. Maybe we're more emotional than most, but having someone genuine, respectful, and kind-hearted to be with us on our wedding day weighed more than most other factors. But on top of him as a person, his photos are freaking amazing. The placement and positioning, the poses, the angles -- his art is crafted truly from through years and years of experience. He captured some of the most important moments of the night as well as some moments I didn't even know happened. He makes do with whatever situation is given to him, and he's thinking about different shots all throughout the day while being present and attentive with us. He had some aerial shots of our wedding, and we thought, "did he leave a camera all the way up there this whole time?" He has given us these sweet memories that will last a lifetime, and we are eternally grateful. Richard's the best -- as a human and as a photographer. We wish him only good things in this world. He really took the time to ask us what we like and stylistically what we were hoping for. We wanted to make sure Andy was the real deal, as we thought the reviews were too good to be true, so we met with Andy to discuss the time frame and to get an idea of expectations on both sides. It was evident from his demeanor that he was a true professional and had a deep love for his craft. We hired Andy to take engagement photos. It was a rainy day and Andy used the weather to his advantage, implementing creative poses. After seeing his creativity, professionalism, and the final product we decided he was the photographer for us. We were unsure of poses and allowed him to be creative, and he nailed it every time. We told him we were hiring a videographer, the photo location required a permit, and that the church had strict operating procedures. He worked with the videographer to ensure the best shots for both parties, made sure he had the correct permit, and he communicated with the church to understand expectations. He worked with another photographer, Alex, to ensure the best shots were taken and not a moment wasted. They made a great team. We would hire Andy again for any shoot that arises.
