Chris and Joy take the time to know our family, answer our many questions, while providing us with detailed information to prepare our cabin for rentals. Being new to vacation rental property management, their insight has set us up for success. With a few days of working with Maine Vacation Stays, our cabin filled up with rentals. Months into our partnership, our cabin achieved "Guest Favorite" status on Airbnb while earning 5 out of 5 stars on both Airbnb and Vrbo. Chris and Joy truly believe every guest should have an amazing experience. They go above and beyond to take care of our renters. Even if that means dumpster diving! Yes, they searched inside our dumpster to reunite one guest with her beloved blanky. As a result of their dependability and hard work, we sit back with relief knowing everyone is well cared for when they stay at our home away from home.

We recently sold a commercial property using Allied, working with Jason Hill. So this review is…read moremore for Jason than for Allied in general. We could not have been happier with Jason as an agent and the service he provided. The property was small and fairly inexpensive, thus I knew the agent would not be making much commission for his work. But that never affected the effort Jason put in, and as it turned out there were a number of issues making the sale more difficult. Jason put in a lot more work than we all had anticipated it would require. Jason was incredibly communicative, both proactively reaching out to us whenever something changed, and was quick to respond to all our questions and requests. He was also quick to anticipate potential issues that may have impacted a sale, and helped us get ahead of those issues. So, we believe he went above and beyond our expectations, and we are very happy with his work and help. We expect to be using him again for a future sale.

Terrible customer service. I recently moved to the area and needed my pellet stove cleaned and…read moreserviced. 2 of them came to clean it and I asked for them to show me how it works. I was told to read the manual and watch the dvd. I thought that was odd as I was paying for a service and they were already here. A month later I fired it up (beginning of October) and immediately noticed a issue with the blower. I called and was told 4-6 weeks or longer. At 6 weeks I called to check in and was told they would call me back to make a appointment. I waited a few more weeks and still no call back. I called them back at 10 weeks and was told they still can't give me a date as to when they can come. At this point I called another company and they were here within a few days. The tech from the other company said whoever cleaned it did a lousy job, hah. He replaced the blower and cleaned it again, even though I never used it besides that one time!Still no call back from northern lights and it's been 12+ weeks in the middle of winter! DO NOT RECOMMEND.
