She made me feel very comfortable and she cut my hair in layers just how I asked her! I've had other stylists cut my hair and completely massacre my hair! But Mandy layered it beautifully while keeping the length and I'm very happy! I will definitely be stopping again when my curls need a freshen up! Prices are very reasonable too

You naturally curly girls know what I'm talking about. I've left more than one salon in tears from horrible cuts. So I walked in to The Mane Event hoping Mandy was the one. I have thick fine hair with defined curls. Long story short, Mandy is one of those few who truly can properly cut naturally curly hair. Don't let the fact that she has straight hair fool you. It's been a couple months and my hair still looks awesome, which is one of the signs of a truly good hair cut. Thank you Mandy!

They have just recently added an extra mega bed that I really like. The acrylics on the beds and bulbs in the bed seemed to be getting changed on a timely, as necessary basis. The owner is very nice and friendly. Bright colored tanning rooms. CONS: I only gave this salon 3 stars because of the advertised prices and what you actually end up paying. You could be quoted $50 for a package over the phone or see the white board in the salon, but this price is pre-tax and does not include a "tanning tax" of 10%. So ADD 17% tax to any prices you have been quoted. In my opinion, the salon should advertise the TOTAL PACKAGE PRICE that includes all applicable taxes. The reception area is dark and has a gloomy feel to it. Dark red walls sponge painted gray with dark furniture and carpeting. I've scheduled an appointment and had to wait 10-15 minutes because a late appointment was allowed to still get in. It would also be nice if they provided a moisturizer for "post tan" like some of the salons I have been to. Overall though - not a bad place to tan. It's clean, the bulbs are good and you'll leave with a tan. :O)
