Great place to find some local artwork inspired by the lakes and prairies of the region. They have a lot of water colors and oil pastels. I particularly liked the prairie themed ones. We ended up picking up a water color of Phelps Mill. The local landmark is a popular source of inspiration for local artists.

Their vibe is so incredibly unique from other places, if you walked in there you'd immediately get it. It's not your typical rough and tumble, almost intimidating tattoo place but it's a lot more low key, and I guess spiritual? is how I'd say. Another cool thing, it's female owned and all of the tattoo artists and the piercer are women. Girl power!! Steph is my lady, and she is SO TALENTED. Just saying that she is an unbelievably skilled artist is only putting it lightly and not giving her the justice she deserves. She is truly in the right industry. She's also just so nice and down to earth so you feel very comfortable from the get go. Steph's section of the shop has a ton of her watercolor paintings hung up, and I usually just stare in awe at those most of my appointments because they're awesome. Most of the artists have their own art hung up all around the shop which is super cool in my opinion. Just take a look at some of the work Steph's done on me, and you should see just what I'm saying. When she worked on the gems on my arm, she used this special technology to make the gems black and white outlines, and she said she looks at them a specific way, in which she's been trained, in order to bring them to life. It was just so fascinating to me and I know I can trust her with anything. She's done half of my tattoos and I'll keep going to her as long as I am able or anytime I'm in town. She's great at designing ink as well. I had an idea for a tattoo I really wanted but wasn't quite sure how to make it all come together. I told her what I was thinking and she helped turn it into an amazing tat that I get tons of compliments on. I really can't say enough good things about Steph and all the rest of the gals at Bee's Nest. If the other women aren't tattooing they'll come say hi during my appointments a lot and chat and they are all just so sweet and welcoming. I love this place!
