I was told by the owner that there is nothing free about the UPS model in PR, and the vendor suffers a fee whenever a package enters or exits their premises. So yes, there is an unexpected fee, but when compared to the time and lines at the UPS facility adjacent the airport, it's a reasonable amount. Btw, the UPS facility is closed on the weekends, so there's that to consider too.

This caused me to have to walk to Walgreens and pay an additional ATM machine fee to pull out cash . After I overpaid for the service , he so nicely offered 15 percent off items in his store ... I wasn't amused . He also offered to sell me an overpriced "waterproof " case to hold my phone . As he was showing me how the case "worked " it was falling apart .
