If you aren't afraid to go to the dentist already, you sure will be after going to this dentist. I had seen Dr. Hill at the downtown dentist group for many years. He was always kind, patient, informative. Then of course, he retired (so part time you might as well consider him completely retired). I finally had to have Dr. Mahara, who took over the practise, do a filling. I'm a big chicken. But I know there are lots of us. Well, Dr. Mahara had zero patience when administering the anaesthesia. He frowned & in an angry voice said, "Oh come on! That can't hurt," as tears were streaming down my face. As he worked on my fillings, he was clumsy, losing his grip on his tools and hitting my other teeth with the tools. I should have just jumped out of the chair and left when he scolded me when he was doing the anaesthesia.
Months later, I found a new dentist because I had to have a tooth with a hairline fracture repaired. I am absolutely sure that fracture came about because of Dr. Mahara being rough & hitting y tooth with his tools repeatedly.
I love my new dentist & would advise others to stay far far away from Dr. Mahara. If you are not yet afraid of the dentist, you certainly will be once he's through with you. read more
