Vegetarian pho
Celia F.

I've been here a couple times and every time I've enjoyed it. A couple times I've gotten the raw steak pho. This is pho where the heat of the broth cooks the meat. It makes for an excellent texture and very fresh tasting beef. The broth for this pho is also excellent. Another time I got the vegetarian pho. They put this delicious tofu in it that has mushrooms and noodles embedded in it. If anyone knows what this is called, please let me know. The vegetarian pho also comes with lots of different veggies in it. The broth is pretty good. The ambiance inside is great. There are cute little booths and tables. My only critique is that I wish there was more room for customization. I believe I asked if I could do beef broth with tofu at one point and it was not possible.

I'm in Seattle for the Ghost Half Marathon and I was looking to pasta load before the big race. We're staying in the Mount Baker area and Magnolia Pho is literally 7 minutes from the train station. We walked into a cozy homespun restaurant that was warm with lighting, the staff's smiles, and the happy chatter of several families and groups enjoying homey Vietnamese food. My daughter and I shared the delectable dumplings. She opted for chicken pho while I enjoyed the crispy Vietnamese chow fun with chicken. Everything was fresh, rich, and comforting after a busy afternoon of travel.

I was looking for a non-expensive Vietnamese place (all Vietnamese food seems so much more expensive these days!) and my sister recommended Magnolia Pho, very non-assuming from the outside. The food was quite good, everyone in my group enjoyed their meal. The staff was super nice as well, she was quite patient with us since we were taking awhile to decide. Plus side, there is some parking right out front, I do appreciate free parking. When I'm back in Seattle, I may take my out of town co-workers here too to get away from the downtown Seattle scene.

This place is walking distance to where we were staying so we decided to give them a try. First thing we noticed was the botton on the wall next to each table. If you need something you push the button so that's a plus every time for me. My bf wanted pho and he automatically was drawn to the name "monster pho." It's the combo pho with a beef bone. I got the house vermicelli bowl. We always try the pho broth before adding anything to see if this is a repeat place for pho or not. They passed! Everything tasted so good! At first we thought the prices were on the steep end but for the service, taste, and presentation it's a fair price. They will definitely know our names as we will be regulars there. Good job Magnolia Pho!

Chicken pho and tendon/ tripe pho

Service was great the gals didn't rush us at all and they let us sit wherever we want. An absolute hole in the wall, you wouldn't suspect it but that great pho would be Inside. It's quite cozy inside with clean bathrooms. We got the lemon grass chicken vermicelli bowl, the chicken pho and a tendon/tripe pho. The pho broth was very refreshing and bright while still being full in flavor. I liked that there was only one size and it takes out the guess work. Fairly priced as well considering this day and age, and the staff was very hospitable. The vermicelli bowl the best one I've had, and there's actually enough fish sauce! If you have the chance you NEED to check this place out.

Really impressed with Magnolia's Pho! The broth was so flavorful and quality meat used. Also tried the Pork Banh Mi and it was amazing. Magnolia Pho is located in a little strip mall with a few parking spots in front. Very laid back spot. The service was a little slow, but the food makes up for it.

Food - Great depth of flavor of food. Everything we tried here was good and left us feeling very content. There is a large selection of options, from noodles to rice dishes and even specialty viet dishes. Service - Waiters are very attentive and friendly. There is a call button to use if you need additional service check ins. Ambiance - Beautiful almost-dim lighting decor. Tables and booths available. There is also a to-go counter to order at if you dont want to sit.

Hidden gem in an unassuming place. Nice interiors and very friendly staff. Their monster pho is very satisfying. It comes with assorted thin sliced beef and a huge beef rib. The beef rib is tender and juicy. The soup is on the milder side for pho. Bun Bo Hue is also mild and not spicy. Overall great experience.

I came here after hearing good things from a friend and seeing some positive reviews online. The place is small and cute, but when we first walked in, there was a weird smell that lingered for a bit. We were greeted and seated quickly, but it did take a little while to get our orders in. It wasn't super busy, so maybe they were short-staffed but just something we noticed. For food : We ordered 4 pho dishes, but they let us know they were short on brisket, so we had to adjust our order. We went with 2 orders of meatball-brisket pho, steak-brisket pho, and a combination pho. One of the phos had noticeably fewer noodles than the others. The taste was okay, but honestly, I wouldn't come back just for the pho. We ended up leaving 3 out of 4 bowls unfinished. On the positive side, the spring rolls were really good- super fresh, and the sauce was good too. We had two orders of this. The banh mi was also pretty solid. It's not going to be my go-to spot for banh mi, but I enjoyed it and would order it again if I returned. I'm curious to try their pork and beef banh mi next time. Drinks We ordered two milk teas. Mango and taro (not pictured) both with crystal boba. Both were pretty good, no complaints there. Price The total was around $130, which seemed pretty fair considering all we ordered. For those who enjoy the food, the price is definitely reasonable. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to return, but if I do come back, I'll definitely be getting the banh mi. Might be worth a try for some people I notice a group of people coming in and mentioning they liked the place so if they have regulars it must be a good sign that this is a go to spot for some people I think my experience might've just been preference.

Really enjoyed this restaurant! Super cute vibes and seating was very comfortable. The food was pretty good as well and the servers were very quick and nice.

Huge portions so the price makes sense. I have enough pho to feed me for two meals! My only wish is that the pho had more cilantro and onions (I know, I could have asked for more). The flavors were wonderful. Chicken wings came out piping hot! And the sauce to go with the butter garlic chicken wings really made it. I am definitely adding this Vietnamese restaurant to my rotation.

This is a gem in the area! The service was kind and helpful. They are still ramping up, so make sure to be patient while waiting for your food. The menu is pretty extensive and I think you're going to find something you like on their menu. Bun bo hue: the broth is delicious!! They put so much meat in here and it also included a beef rib. I got some shrimp paste and chili oil on the side to add to my bites and really enjoyed being able to customize it. All the meat in here was super tender and really hit the spot! Only wish there was a bit more noodles, but happy there was lots of broth Steak and brisket pho: the pho broth here is pretty clean tasting and straight up tastes like beef, so if you're into that, this is great! We liked it, twas delish! Also gave a bunch of meat in here Grilled pork banh mi: again, great portion of meat! Deliciously seasoned. I personally would want more pickled veg and cucumbers next time

Pho

Absolutely delicious!! Read a review from another gal stating if you're about great pho flavor not to skip here so we tried it and we were not disappointed. Potentially the best pho broth I've ever had!! Will be back forsure.

My cocktail was a pho broth washed shot of Jameson and it came with a pho broth chaser. Hope I got that right but I almost don't wanna drink Jameson any other way now. It looked packed but I think a lot of people were at the larger pho Bac sup shop (which is associated w The Boat, but The Boat had plenty of seating at 6:30 on a Sunday night. It's a bit pricey for the portions, but overall we enjoyed our meal and I really liked trying dishes beyond the typical spring roll/pho/rice place. We ended up choosing a place close and were not disappointed at all. This restaurant is located off a busy street but it luckily offers a parking lot which can be hard to come by in Seattle. Because we came on the earlier side, we were seated quite quickly :) The space is pretty large so I don't think I would worry about a wait on a weekday. We were very impressed by the options provided. I usually don't find Bun Bo Hue on the menu often which is what my partner ended up ordering. I ordered the Bun rieu which is even harder to come by. We also ordered the crispy butter garlic wings to share which was a perfect choice. The custard duck egg is an excellent starter, with a rich, savory broth that delivers a deep, yolky umami punch. The rau ram oil and herb is such a creative twist that adds the perfect herbal dimension. The radicchio pudding was light and offered a clean, almost grassy brightness without being overwhelming in flavors. Great option for any vegans at the table. The wagyu beef tallow fries were some of the best fries I've ever had. Ultra-crispy, perfectly thick-cut, and deeply flavorful with beef notes shining through, without being too heavy. Like many of the dishes here, perfectly balanced in flavor. The grilled eggplant with whipped tofu and crispy sun chokes was another standout. The tofu whip was so smooth and should be considered a worthy sub for mayo. The eggplant was soft, creamy, and perfectly charred. The garlic rice was incredibly savory and maybe my favorite version of it yet. Packed with the perfect depth of garlicky flavor and seasoning. Finally for dessert - I thought the durian fruit cup was decent, it's great for durian lovers but next time I will be back to try their other desserts. The hollow bread is a must-try. It's fried to perfection, the inside is steamy and the butter it comes with is perfect but the bread alone is so good that it doesn't need it. The perfect touch of roasted sesame. Slightly sweet, it's a delight in textures and perfect in cold weather. The oyster on half shell in happy hour is also a great standard oyster, very fresh, with a nuanced Viet twist in the sauces. Vegetable dip is pretty standard and also delicious, great if you're looking for a healthy starter. Coffee rubbed ribs were fantastic as well and an incredible deal for the size. Very savory, a little sticky sweet, but not too much. Service was also friendly and the food came out in a reasonable time. Easy to eat and flavorful on its own but dipping it with Chinsu added spice and more flavor. Bot Chien had a crisp to it and egg was cooked well. You have to dip it in the fish sauce or else there is no flavor. Just something minor but I wish the pickled veggies were more separated. It had the cut lines but not fully cut so you had to separate it yourself. The com tam was alright. All of the components you would usually get for a broken rice dish. The meatloaf was really good. The pork on the other hand was a bit too salty for my liking. And you only get one thin piece... soup on the side was good and was a good way to cleanse the palette. Overall good modern/fancy spin on Vietnamese food but overpriced. Would probably be nice to go during dinner time for some drinks as the ambience seemed better for night time. Good amount of seating. Street parking around the area was easy to find.
