My wife and I were a bit nervous for the engagement shoot since we'd never done a photo shoot before, and posing for pictures doesn't always come naturally to us. Macie made the whole process so easy and so much fun. She was incredibly professional and guided us gently but confidently so our pictures came out perfectly. At the wedding, she somehow was always in the right place at at right time, but also always discreet. She captured for us so many brief beautiful moments that could so easily have been missed. Our wedding photos were so beautiful, and not once were we stressed about pictures on our wedding day. Macie communicated clearly and was always very responsive. Her talent was so apparent in how she worked, and in the photos she delivered. It was so clear that Macie is more than a photographer, but a gifted artist with passion for her craft. We are so happy to have been her subjects! Overall we could not have asked for a better photographer, and would recommend her to anyone.

This husband/wife team was a complete joke. From the bickering that they did back & forth during…read morethe ceremony & reception to the lack of staging for proper capturing of a photo...the list goes on and on. Thought having 2 photographers was a positive, but it ended up that they never told people which of them was taking the photos, so you ahve a group of people looking in 2 different directions for the photo. Told them ahead of time (and showed examples) of the types of shot that we wanted and got perhaps 2 out of 10. Halfway into the reception, my new son-in-law asked me if I would just ask them to leave because they were bickering and bothering people to "pose" for photos and folks were getting annoyed. We would've been better off just handing disposable cameras to guests to take photos. Bad, bad experience.

There are 22 in our family so it was a challenge to get one of all 22 of us that looked good but they did it! In fact, we picked out 48 pictures! We had so much fun taking the pictures that a tourist stopped by to tell us he noticed how much fun we were having. They took lots and lots of pictures including some that were candids of us all having a good time. We were done in less than an hour and the color/pixels of the pictures came out so clear. I had seen her content on Instagram and knew that her approach and personality would make the process incredibly approachable, comfortable, and professional. I was absolutely blown away by the process; we started with a phenomenal makeup session that elevated the photos perfectly! And Nina made the whole process so easy and comfortable! Sarah is a brilliant photographer. I googled "best spots to propose in Gatlinburg", and found her…read moreblog. I made plans with her about 2 weeks beforehand. She was wonderful to plan with, and had dozens of suggestions. The day of, the road to the spot we had picked out was closed, and I was horrified and panicked. She immediately identified a backup spot, and met us there. She waited in the cold (this was during Thanksgiving week 2017 at 5am, it was COLD) for me to propose, for about 40 minutes, as I wanted to catch the sunrise. The pictures came out BEAUTIFULLY. The sun waited to rise until after I had gotten cold and impatient, and popped the question. She took more time to get photos with the sun in the background, and those were gorgeous. I cannot speak highly enough of Sarah, and her work. She is a sweet person, and truly loves what she does. It just so happens she is really damn good at it too.
