We took a guided tour of the "Max becomes Beckmann", the exhibition of Max Beckmann's life and work(art), who was a Braunschweig native as well. With the Museum Labels, information tags, descriptions (whatever you want to call it) in English in the gallery, the guided our in German was easy enough to understand and comprehend and enjoy as well. And they have a varied collection of famous pieces that they want to showcase. It is very well organized and catalogued, replete with a map of where each exhibit is on a pamphlet etc, as only the Germans can do! A most enjoyable Sunday in this gloomy winter weather...
