Other than the breakfast guy and the maids (who give…read morea half decent turn down) every other person of staff were and are douche bags rude, impolite, obnoxious and just not very nice especially the owner/"manager". Said "manager" accused us of breaking a light shade literally as we were being picked up by our taxi to the airport we had checked out hours before and he could have tried this any time before not only was his timing off but his rude impetuous accusation was too. I'm sure he has tried this one before by this point I was seething. I can not understand how he is still in business. And I cannot stress enough how much one should never stay at this hotel.

On…read moredeciding to return to Olu we checked it out online and noticed the name had changed to DeLuxe. Now did it deserve the change in name to an upgraded name. I can say a definite YES. It deserves more, it deserves another star rating. On arrival at 2.00 am we were met from our cab by a young bellboy who immediately took charge of our cases. Reception went smoothly, quickly and in a friendly manner. At that time of the morning we needed that, thank you. The young lad took us to our room and explained everything. The room was beautiful and we could see the upgrade. Comfy bed with wall mounted flat screen TV (never used by us, too much to do). Armchair and, unusually for the continent, coffee making facilities. Air con came in the price, again unusually as most charge extra. The only extra charge was for the safe but at a reasonable cost. The bathroom was wonderful, walk in shower with wonderful powerful sprays. Toiletries with the bonus of toothbrushes, shower caps, sewing etc etc. Again, looking at higher star hotels. Breakfast was tasty with such a fantastic choice. Taken in the Olive Grove restaurant. Nice restaurant open to the outside. Always spotlessly clean and the staff are great. We noticed that the pool had changed with a separate childrens pool. A jacuzzi pool was a very new feature but, unfortunately, was spoiled as we left by a family using it with their children. One without a nappy????? It had been mentioned by previous reviews that sunbeds were taken with towels early in the morning. I am pleased that Management read reviews and countered this problem by stipulating that any towels on beds before 9.00 am will be removed and can be collected from reception. Trust me, it worked. We always found a sunbed after breakfast. The poolside bar was really nice with reasonable priced drinks and a wonderful lunchtime menu. Run by John T, who we remember from those years back. He hasn't changed. I must mention the cleaning service of the rooms. Towels changed every day and a total clean of the room. This by a wonderful lady who we remembered from our first visit. A lovely lady who would do anything for you and noticed that my partner had put a cushion under her pillow to raise it slightly. That evening there were two pillows. That lady noticed. All in all a wonderful stay and thank you everyone for a great holiday. When we return to Olu, you will see Rakiman (my name to some of the staff) and his partner again.

We arrived very very late from a flight and were greeted with water and food that fit our dietary…read morerestrictions. The manager, Deniz, was wonderfully attentive and kind throughout our stay. I forgot the man's name who got us a wonderful breakfast every morning, but he was amazing as well. This hotel is tucked away right off the main path and beach, and is a little peace of serenity and quiet in bustling/lively Ölü Deniz. The rooms are large enough for two people, are equipped with a mini fridge, and overlook an incredibly landscaped and stunningly decorated pool area. Seriously, the outdoor living spaces are a thing of beauty! The town of Ölü Deniz was too busy and touristy for me, but I loved every peaceful, quiet minute I spent at the hotel. Beautiful little oasis hotel right on the beautiful Mediterranean coast but in a tourist trap town…read moreof olu deniz. Cliche of a town catering to the brit tourists. The service was excellent. The manager is very hands on and accommodating to all our needs. Word of caution: no kiddies allowed. We pay about $100 a night. Make sure to sign up to skydive or at least rent a car n drive up to the mtn where the launch pad for the skydriving is located. The view is totally worth it.

A return visit to this 3 star hotel. People say never go to the same place twice as it never…read morereaches expectations. In this case totally untrue. We were greeted as, not guests, but returning friends. There is some refurbishment of rooms going on but the 'older' rooms are more than adequate. Nice pool bar area with good service and extremely good lunch time food which saves time in not leaving the pool. Rooms are cleaned, spotlessly, every day with clean sheets and towels (is this 3 star?). Only one drawback, and this is being addressed by management I am told, is that on occasions, there was a drain odour in the bathroom. However, would we go back there.....an almighty YES. Great hotel, great service and very friendly staff who make sure they get to know you.
