This was an absolute gem of an experience. Sean and his wife Christine are so gracious and the show was phenomenal. The show takes place at their house. They don't have a sign outside, but Christine was sitting on the porch waiting for guests and waved at us as we were driving by, so we knew we were in the right place. She has a special knack for identifying who is looking for the show based solely on how slow they are driving! We arrived early and it was a lovely day, so Christine invited us to sit on their porch. We chatted a bit and she shared some recommendations about other things to do in the area. Sean came outside and did a card trick for us while we waited. Once the other guests arrived, we were led into their library for the show. It was truly intimate. The audience included only six people. We were seated in comfy leather upholstered chairs and surrounded by floor to ceiling shelves filled with books and knick knacks. Sean is a former trial lawyer and pivoted his career at the age of 47 to become a magician. He told us parts of his life story throughout the show, making it feel very personal and poignant. He did a variety of tricks, with rope, cards, distraction, and sleight of hand. There was a lot of audience participation, with almost every trick involving one or more members of the group. We also stood a few times so that we could all participate together. Sean is a master of his craft and many of the tricks were truly awe inspiring. The show was fun, engaging, and heart warming. He performs at several venues throughout the area, but I recommend the home show because it's designed for adults. Even if you don't typically like magic shows, this one is not to be missed and you'll leave feeling inspired and intrigued by the art form. read more

Planned this as a group activity for Christmas Eve. If I am to be totally honest, not one person (in my socially anxious, introverted family) wanted to go at the time of the event -- I mean, a magic show in a dude's house...how awkward -- but every one of us loved it and would recommend to others. A wonderful evening with a fantastic and entertaining magician who wowed us with his magic tricks and great charisma . Not to mention we had to change the day of the show and Sean very kindly accommodated us . While googling for things to do in Windham, NY I happened upon a listing for this amazing show with incredible reviews but I'm a cynical New Yorker so I would say I was cautiously optimistic. Well, I soon threw that caution to the wind when I realized I was at the greatest magical experience anywhere! Sean is not just a top notch talented magician, he's a real people person and it's his fun and warm personal interactions with the small audience that makes this performance incredibly special. This is the second time I've seen the Magic on Main show. I went with my mom and sister over the summer and we enjoyed it so much that we brought my husband and dad back to see the performance. The magic show takes place in Sean's parlor/old law office. Each time we saw the show it was a little different. Sean is amazing with slight of hand tricks and cards tricks! We're still trying to figure out how he did everything. We laughed a lot and enjoyed being pulled into the performance. Highly recommend! read more

Our friend convinced my husband and I to join her and her husband to see the show and we did because we love our friends, but anticipated that Doolan's show would be pretty much a corny way to spend the afternoon. Booking was very simple but more importantly when we asked his wife Christine for any dinner recommendations before the show, she went above and beyond! She sent us an EXTENSIVE list of restaurants and activities to help us plan several days worth of activities and meals! Now to the show, Sean is wonderful, very personable very engaging very funny. We had Sean join us for a 60th birthday fete...and he was AMAZING! Immediately on arrival he jumped right in with us all as we were sitting outside having cocktails. He started with some really well done "stagecraft-styled" tricks and laughs with us as a group. Sean was amazing!!! I came across his information while doing research on Windham. Our plan was to take the kids skiing, and initially I didn't buy tickets because I wasn't sure if the kids would be interested in it after skiing. However, as we drove towards Windham, our ski lessons got canceled. I emailed Sean and he agreed to do a show for us!!! We didn't know what to expect. He had a small room and comfortable chairs, and he proceeded to entertain us for the next hour. He was amazing and kept us entertained throughout, the kids were amazed and had so much fun. He is clearly passionate about his craft. We had a truly fun evening topped off by going next door to an amazing restaurant per their suggestion.
