He was rude to me, he was rude to others. I witnessed this first hand. He looked and sounded like he'd rather be anywhere else except talking to me. He rudely asked "oh last minute for toddler time?" And then rolled his eyes. He snapped at another lady who was wanting to pay and said "the button doesn't even exist until 10am." After she asked why she couldn't see an option online. He literally rolled his eyes so many times this morning that I lost count. I tried to buy snacks and he looked at me and turned away. That man... needs customer service training MAJORLY. I actually think he might be a manager there which is really sad. Anyways, we will go again but wanted to let the business know that the man who worked today at 10am at the front cash register is a jerk.

Just wow!! Talk about an extremely hidden and deeply discounted gem in Minot, North Dakota!…read more Where do I begin? Comprised of three hangars, one large artifact room, and a lawn full of statically displayed aircraft, this museum has more than what meets the eye. Positioned a little off the main road rest this local wonder in humble silence. An inconspicuous red sign that subtly screams "Air Museum" is the only thing in the entire town that alerts individuals that such an adventure awaits them. Our adventure begin when my family stayed for a long weekend. We had always seen the sign from the road but never made time; however, with family in town, how else is one going to fill up a four-day weekend in Minot, ND. Therefore, we decided that a few hours at this local attraction could help accomplish that goal. I was both right and wrong about my assumption. I was right in the fact that our time here definitely helped pass the time, but wrong in the arrogant thought that this was a fly-by-night establishment hanging on to life by one financial thread. This place is amazing! Filled with artifacts and aircraft that detail epochs of American history from Kitty Hawk to Operation Iraqi Freedom, this place literally has it all...once again this place is amazing. Honestly, I could spin threads upon threads about how great this place is, and the sheer tonnage of artifacts that comprise this museum is incredible. If you're a local and have never been, go now! If you're passing through and need to fill your time with enriching substance, this is your place. However, get ready because your mind will be blown. Admission: ages 6-17, $5; 18 and up, $10; family, $20. Yes, they even give a military discount. Hours: Seasonal, May through mid-October; Sunday 1pm-5pm and Monday-Saturday 10am-5pm.

The number of aircraft is extensive and well preserved. Our guide at the museum was Glenn Blackaby, the museum director. We started out at the Wright Flyer Hangar where he gave a very descriptive talk on the replica of the Wright Brothers aircraft and also the very flight that took place in Kitty Hawk, NC. The replica itself is a to scale model and was constructed at the facility. We went on to the other hangars which were very notable especially the Flying Legends Hangar with many aircraft from WWII, one of which showed the actual weaponry that was used by gunners on the plane, including the magazines and bullets! In this hangar there were also jeeps and vehicles from other eras of military history. Since there were veterans in our group it made this tour especially interesting because a few of them had driven the jeeps during their Vietnam tour! Another interesting exhibit was in the Restoration Hangar which held fire engines and other vehicles from the 1920s and later. There are several large airplanes outside as well. Glenn was very knowledgeable about all the aircraft and was able to answer any questions that we had about the history. The stories of the men who piloted the planes made the tour very special! I continued to be awed by what I saw and would go so far to say that this aircraft museum rivals the Smithsonian Air Museum.
