i came here with my fiance to dine i had requested a booth over the phone and when inarrived they sat us in the middle of the room on a regular table when i requested otherwise they gve us excused about how the booth were dirty and there isnt enough staff to clean or serve us. I told them i can wait for one to be cleaned But "Mercedes" the host on the front desk said that would be able to work. I felt unwelcomed, disrespected and unserved. I work in the hospitality industry and manage a few hotels around memorial i send lots of customers over here and i enjoy dining at Maggianos however i will no longer be recommending this place to anyone moving further. read more

One word to describe the takeout. HORRIBLE. The food tasted like it was about to be thrown out, and then I placed a to-go order with DoorDash, and they gave it to me. $75 worth of food, and it was terrible. Did anyone care of course not. Cute place at the edge of the Memorial City Mall. Place is very nice with overtones of luxury, and some elements of an old Italian dinner, making you feel that you are dinning in an upgraded grandma's place. Not a bad thing, but it is what it is. Drinks menu is OK, but wine selection is somewhat slim, and so is the beer menu. No draft beers. Food menu is good and somewhat misleading. There are two pasta menu's. One for pasta and the other one for classic pasta like spaghetti, lasagna and rigatoni which is slightly hidden in the menu. Having discovered this classic pasta section in the menu, it was great. So food is not just good, it is very good. And for the price of roughly $15 you get two classic dishes. The one to eat and another to take home. Cannot beat that! Also, the bread they serve is fantastic and so is the spice mix that comes with it. There are two things I will gripe about in this review: service and the bar. They can both be improved to get this place a 5-star rating. Bar needs more choices and a draft beer selection. Regarding service, this place should hire happy servers who want to be there and show enthusiasm, and not a bunch of zombies overdosing on Prozac or Xanax to be able to function (hopefully nobody on these drugs will take offense to this review). read more

When I stabbed that road kill on top of the pasta it had the nerve to be rough. You're an "authentic" Italian restaurant but you screw up this bad on a basic Italian dish? Do better. You might need to check on the chef who was working that night to see if everything at home is all good, there was nothing but hate and anguish put into this. Again, do better. read more

I'm familiar with their location off Westheimer & Post Oak. This location at memorial city mall is beautiful. The exterior to the interior. The food is always good here. Baked ziti, spaghett for our entrees. Apoetizer calamari. The layout of the restaurant is very appealing. Gives you that family feel to the restaurant. Our server was subpar. We were sitting waiting on our server for almost 15 minutes just to get water and take our orders. Thankfully other servers stepped in to get our bread, oil, herbs and water. Once our server finally showed up, he was competent and redeemed himself. If you've been to their Westheimer and Post Oak location, come and try this location. read more

I wish I could leave 0 stars I was just there with my boyfriend It was my first time . First of all I walked in didn't feel welcomed lady at front didn't ask if I wanted booth or table. Just said "I have table only" I was like well ok I guess that's my only option. So then I'm seated my server didn't really accommodate me she stopped midway and said someone else was going to be our server because of some party or whatever that was going on. We are customers as well and should be treated welcomed as well regardless of a party or celebration. To top it off the 2nd server he made me feel less than and I had placed my order and he came back and asked if I wanted to downgrade to a $6 pasta to take home and it was frozen I'd just "have to go home and heat it up" what do I look like coming in to sit in a restaurant just to pay $6 to take home a frozen meal...,? Hello? Like I am fully capable of affording anything on the damn menu. Customer service is trash totally unacceptable and just wrong. For it being my first time I would not recommend this location at all. I'm very disappointed and felt disgusted on how I was treated. 0/0 recommendation. read more

The pros: table setup nice, bread while waiting good, environment good, food selection enough list not overwhelming. i thought the ravioli that I got is well balance and good, the Mom's lasagna is also one of the popular and also great. Overall you will feel welcome when you come here. Oh, and their take out is excellent nice quality bag and container. The Cons: Service, like what other people will say the service is a little bit lack of effort. The server need to check often to see if the water need to fill up or hows the food etc. We also saw one of the serve drop a lots of food in the floor like all of it. I was with my co-worker and they are a little bit not happy as it take so much long to get our to go dessert. Also, they need to get rid their Fila minon on their lunch menu if they are serving 3.5 ounce as the server said for 20.50, that is like a super tiny portion and not even consider as lunch, but tasting portion. read more

Loved this restaurant. I would recommend to make reservations for dinner because Maggiano's seems like a very popular place. They have a large dining area but they did not make it too packed to where it is too loud to hear your own table. Our waiter was very attentive, even as he was taking care of a party of 12+. Their old fashions were incredible. We did the dinner for two, we got 1 appetizer, two entrees, two entrees to go, and a dessert. We were STUFFED at the end of the meal. Their portion sizes were pretty large so we also took home half our entree. Essentially we got 6 meals for $45, a great deal!! read more

Well, I really wanted to eat at Maggiano's. We were greeted well enough. Seated promptly. Unfortunately, that was it. We waited at our table of three and weren't acknowledged at all. We sat there for 10 minutes before we got up and left. When we were seated, the restaurant was not busy. The wait staff was just finishing up their huddle. I figured we would be helped shortly, once they got situated. That was not the case. As we sat there, I counted at least 8 waiters standing around talking throughout the restaurant. I was very disappointed with the service and it was my first and last time here. All I wanted was a slice of tiramisu, to go. I had to wait almost 30 minutes for it. After I went to open the door for an elderly lady with a walker, I went back to the counter to see if my order was ready. Then I went to the hostess to ask her how come it's taking so long since it's not something they have to cook. She asked me several times "did you go to the guys that came out with the bags?' I said I did not have a chance as I was busy opening the door for their patrons. By the time the tiramisu reached home, it was almost at room temperature. The hostess was not friendly. So was the person who took my order at the to-go counter. You guys got to buck up on your services. Especially those working in the front as first impression counts!!! read more

Dine in. They have a limited menu and limited delivery under the menu. This day I wanted filet for the tenderist beef. They were out and it was the afternoon. Still wanted beef so this NY strip was all they had. Tasted ok but hard to chew. Some bites were impossible so I lined those up on the upper rim of plate (viewer discretion advised). The asparagus was much worse. (hard to cut, impossible to chew). The crispy wedge potatoes were great but who wants to spend $30 on fries? The ambiance is good but not excellent. The service is a little better than average ( it's hard to expect anything spectacular after covid) but food is not what you should expect from the Italian establishment. The pasta is store bought and is not even prepared correctly. I ordered pasta with garlic and olive oil ( with chicken) and I have to add table side olive oil to separate the spaghetti and the garlic was not existing. If you order garlic you are exepting "the consequences ". I will be exipecting this in Olive Garden but I think that Olive Garden is better.( sad face). My wife dish was too salty but that is a personal preference. The only good part was coffee and teramisu but you are not going to the restaurant for dessert. read more

Maggiano's never disappoints. I had brunch for the first time and it reminded me of the breakfast I had in Rome. I had the Italian American Breakfast. The sausage and bacon were on point. My family decided to have a dish off the regular menu, Chicken Francese and Mom's Lasagna. Of course I had to save room for dessert because it was my birthday. Yeaaaa for me. I had the limited time Pound Cake that had canded bananas with ice cream. It was great. The staff was very attentive out drinks never went empty. I went to eat lunch with a friend at Maggiano today, Saturday at 1:45 pm at Memorial City. We were seated right away since we made a reservation. The ambiance is so warm, soothing even with a full house. The black and white photographs and the soft jazz music creates a unique relaxing ambiance. We were comfortably seated at a both where we were able to have a nice conversation. I ordered the fried calamari, mushroom ravioli Alfredo and an Arnold Palmer. The food temperature was great, not warm but fresh, tasty and hot. The bread with olive oil was delicious and what an amazing deal to get up to five entrees for $5.00 to go. In all there is zero complaint about the food. The service on the other hand was lacking, not because of the young lady who was taking our order but how long it took to get our $5.00 entrees and to pay. I must say I liked seeing the managers stepping up and helping as that is a good sign of terrific management skills. The only thing I can think of is that they may have been short staff and for that I gave them four stars. read more

Never have I been disgusted!!!!! I walked into the ladies room to wash my hands and there was an employee that was already in there. What she did next made me want to walk out and never come back but I was with my work group and had no choice! She walked right out of stall without washing her hands!!! I would think people would do this when no one would be looking but she did it in front of me and 2 other of my coworkers with us watching!!! The ONLY reason I did not report it is because I didn't want to spoil it for the rest of my team. They seem not to mind but as for me, I still ordered my food BUT I WILL NOT be eating this food because I'm not sure who prepared it. I don't want to seem unappreciative or anti social. I will NEVER suggest this place to anyone because of yes, one person's practices!! No, we never know what people do in private but to witness the uncleanliness that people do, is a big no for me!!! read more

I love Italian food and this place is so far my favorite and the best part is it's close to my house! Honestly, I'm a cheap person and I usually don't buy pasta over than $15-$20, but here!?! It have great deals for people like me ex: classics pasta buy one and take another dish home($13-$15), meals for two ($42-$46) included starter and I recommend the flatbreads!, entree, dessert) and family meal! The server was the best by giving me great service and recommended me the pasta, so I tipped him good! So nice! You don't have to dress fancy to go here but it does look fancy. Came here for our annual friend's Christmas dinner & what a debacle. First off it took them forever to seat us even though we had reservations & everyone was there. I peeked in the main dining room & they were not that busy & saw several large tables sitting empty. The service was terribly slow & our waiter did not know how to open a bottle of wine. We ordered family style & while the food was good, there are plenty of other Italian places nearby with better service. What a mess. read more

This is a review for the Memorial location. We arrived right when they opened at 11am, it seemed they were not ready for guest at all. We asked the hostess for paper menus and were told they didn't have any because their printer was broken. She saw we had a child with us and never offered us a children's menu. We were promptly seated and then waited close to 15 minutes for service, there was only one other visible table with two people at it. Once our server came we were able to get a children's menu. We also learned that only dinner portions are available at lunch on the weekend, even through we could only see a lunch menu online. No worries, we settled for two small salads and a couple appetizers for lunch. The waiter we had was kind and prompt, not overly attentive- which I like. The food was okay, nothing really stood out to me- but this of course is my opinion. My child loved the cheese ravioli. Just another chain Italian restaurant IMO. Also, some staff were wearing masks and others had them around their chins. At this point in the COVID world, either wear it or take it off. It looks really in sanitary to wear it around your chin. I ordered pasta and a side of meatballs to be delivered. I have always loved the Maggianos in the Galleria area. My food was horrible! Nothing at all like the one in town. The pasta was thrown together.. no presentation awards. Very little cheese and tasted like it was a heated up frozen meal with undercooked pork laying on the top. The side of meatballs was burnt. The sauce was tasteless. In the garbage it went! Terrible customer service as well. read more

We love this Maggiano's. Because it is in Memorial City Mall there is ample parking right by the front door. They have a great bar that has probably 10 tables and room for another 20 sitting at the bar. Definitely a great place to grab a drink while your significant other shops in the mall. For a few years now we have used their private dining rooms for monthly board meetings. They always have the room set up in a round table fashion and the servers that work with us are all top notch. I really appreciate the fact that when we I am dieting they will custom make anything I want. Big props for this. Be on the look out too as they have great wine specials every now and then. As an Italian, I'm pretty picky when it comes to eating at Italian restaurants. I was delightfully surprised on how delicious the chicken piccata and pasta aglio were. The servings are large. Had the pleasure of eating at this place for the first time for my love's birthday with some friends. The hostess was very pleasant and sat us right away. Very clean establishment and the staff is great. Food was delicious and gave us samples of Rose' while we decided to purchase or not. From the appetizer, to the entree and down to the desert everything was great. Our waiter JOEY was awesome. Very attentive, fast, courteous and fun. He maintained a very professional composure throughout the night and even shared a few laughs with us as we spoke on our favorite show "Martin" lol. We stayed until closing and they didn't rush us out. Definitely will be returning. read more

I don't usually eat Italian, but I was really, really craving it today for some reason. I live in the memorial area and wanted to stay close to home. I had never been to Maggiano's, so decided to try it out this night. So, we walked in and the hostess was very friendly and welcoming. Kudos to her! She seated us promptly as it was not busy. We were also greeted promptly by the server. We were waiting on my husband, so we ordered drinks. My son ordered a sparkling water, and I ordered a vodka/soda. The waiter asked me, you want that on the rocks? No one has ever asked me this after ordering this drink..I replied, yes, on ice. His response was, so ya, on the rocks ... Well, it went south from there. About 6 min after ordering my drink, he comes back and tells me they are out of kettle one. Ok...so I ordered Tito's (still no waters or my sons drink). I must have looked really annoyed because 11 min in without a drink, waters or anything, a manager approached the table and asked if we have been taken care of. I replied that yes, the server took our drink order, but it had been over 10 minutes and still no drinks. I was already really annoyed and told him that I didn't want to stay. He said sorry and we left. Well we ended up at Olive Garden. I had not been there in about 10 years, but again, I was really craving Italian and it's slim pickings in memorial. It was actually really good and amazing service. I'm happy I left. I'm a " you have one shot to make an impression" type of person. So, with that I will say I won't return or recommend. read more

This includes an appetizer OR flatbread OR salad, two main signature pastas, and dessert. With this deal there is also complimentary two extra TOGO meals to take home. WHAT A DEAL. Keep in mind when we came here today, we both haven't eaten all day and were very hungry. Complementary bread with olive oil. Then came our appetizer - mozzarella marinara. The crust was nice and crisp. I was a bit disappointed by the cheese inside, it wasn't very melt in your mouth. My boyfriend got the fettuccine Alfredo and he loves this because it's very cheesy. If you love cheese this is a great dish for you. I myself think it's too much cheese. I got the Taylor street baked ziti because of all the pictures on yelp, and it compliments very well. A tad bit salty for my taste but the pasta is well cooked. For dessert we chose the creme brûlée, its not the best but decent for taste. If we weren't so full, maybe it would have tasted better. The meal is so very worth the price, since we got full midway through our main course. This is our second time coming here and service has been very good for small parties like ourself. Pre-cooked food. I ordered the basic, spaghetti. The pasta was not al dente, it was undercooked and hard. I think the pasta was just briefly dipped in the sauce as there was VERY little sauce. Delivery did NOT come with parmesan cheese. Caesar Salad was packaged. You could see where the romaine lettuce rib was old and dried out. Caesar dressing was made with vinegar instead of lemon juice with means Italian dressing was probably used as the base. Broccoli was frozen. If you're used to fresh broccoli, you can taste when it's frozen. Bread stick was hard and dry. I wasted $40. I should have ordered from Fazzolli's. At least they have decent bread sticks, sauce and their meals come with parmesan cheese. read more

So me hmm and my family love maggianos so much. Me and my husband celebrate our valentines and anniversary here. It's about the same price as Olive Garden and we always get a Marcos meal for two so we take food for the next day. It's a great place to take the family to just enjoy everyone's company. The food is delicious and if you ask me you have to try the tiramisu but according to the rest of my family you have to try the Gigi's butter cake.
