One of the best restaurants we have eaten in on our five week Italy Road Trip. We stayed nearby…read more(actually just 50m away across the road) in our holiday home for five nights. And we came here for four dinners....we loved it so much. It is a quite big and very popular restaurant. Not much among international tourists, but popular with locals and Italian Tourists as well. There's a good number of tables inside, but in summer you definitely wanna sit outside. There's lots of space, but on weekends the place gets packed, be sure to make a reservation. We had lots of great food here. It's mostly Italian food, Pasta and Seafood Dishes and Pizze as well. Ingredients are fresh and the kitchen does some nice innovative twists. Many dishes using Pistachio in some unexpected, but tasty ways. Here's a list of the dishes we had: Tomato and Meat Bruschetta - good and fresh Shrimp / Pistachio Risotto - nicely cooked, fresh Shrimp, nice Pistachio twist Seafood Pasta - a classic; al dente and fresh seafood Spaghetti Vongole - another classic; pasta cooked perfectly, super fresh vongole Ravioli with Shrimp and Salmon - nice homemade pasta with tasty fresh salmon Salmon / Mozzarella Plate - huge size; great tasting smoked salmon Pizza 4 Gusti - rich and plenty; could easily fill up two people Cozze - freshly steamed mussels; good stuff Seafood Pasta (Fricelli), nice pasta again; very filling! Linguini w/ tomatoes, pistachio and swordfish; another great combination of flavors You see, a lot of great food! And lucky for us, so close to our "home" for that time. Service was always very friendly, attentive and also helpful. A glass of Prosecco comes with every dinner....complementary! Also a nice Ice bucket with the wine. Great staff, great food, great menu! It was really one of our highlights on this Italian vacation. We had a dog with, but she had to stay home, no dogs allowed, but we understand that. No minus points for this. Prices are fair, you might expect a bigger bill. We always paid between 45 - 60 Euros. For 1-2 starters, two mains and a whole bottle of wine. Highly recommended!

The red wine tasted like a Syrah blend, it was easily the best wine that I had in Palermo. Prices seemed reasonable. I recommend getting a reservation, there was often a long line of people waiting for tables.

Very disappointed! Came here tonight with my husband. We had a lovely starter of fried cheese. My…read morehusband had a nice piece of swordfish with salad, which was nicely done. I had the misfortune of ordering the meatballs, which were cooked with cheese and mash potatoes -- at least according to the menu. They arrived on a skewer, no mashed potatoes, but cut up white potatoes instead. I could barely dislodge them from the skewer they were so incredibly overcooked. The cheese in between was brown and literally rock hard, when I called the waiter over he offered to replace them which I accepted. Almost a half hour later, no communication from the waiter, no new meatballs, no sign or any food, and my husband was now long done eating his dinner. We asked for the check. The owner then yelled at ME for not being patient enough! He said food in Sicily takes time! Really? I waited for the first meal and it was totally inedible, how long exactly am I supposed to wait for you to cook it right the second time? The owners reaction was really over the top, and he should be ashamed. They served me bad, inedible food and then yelled at us for not being patient enough to wait through a second hour for a replacement? Please. You make a poor dish, own it, apologize and make it right. I would happily have waited a reasonable amount of time for that. After one hour and 15 minutes with zero communication, that is not on me,it's on you. Own it! This restaurant is probably still worth a visit as I feel my bad dish was an aberration, but the attitude of ownership was absolutely rubbish, and they should be ashamed.
