Genovesi's pizza is without question one of the best in Naples (and therefore the world). In our…read moreneighborhood, it's a toss-up between Genovesi and La Notizia around the corner. Different styles, but both outstanding. We have been coming here since it was called Solopizza, and we loved it then. Unfortunately, since the name change the place has become insanely popular, so you will wait. We were surprised to go there on a Thursday at 8:00 PM and there was already a one-hour wait, even though they have added capacity. We feel bad that we lost our little secret neighborhood place, but I guess we're happy for Gaetano because he is just killing it. The wait at La Notizia has shortened as a result (good for us!). It's great pizza, but you will have to earn it!

They consider their pizzas to be "individual" sized, but I'd say they're at least the size of a medium pizza. Just looking at it after being served, I thought there was no way I was eating more than 3/4 of it, but it was gone in no time. For any American tourist, like most places it's pretty English-friendly. Highly recommend.

Tastes milder than 14.5% alcohol. Pizza: Margherita. The classic was perfect. €5.5 Pizza: Diavolo. €10. Lots of spicy meat. Excellent service from our waiter. + flatware- Pinti, hefty + tablecloth - woven paper. Added a touch of elegance. - paper napkins - lighting. Way too bright and 6000K - acoustics. Noisy because of the hard surfaces. €41.50 for dinner for 2

I look at the pizza and I'm thinking two other people can share this with me. Why the five stars? We were driving around looking for fried spaghetti with no potentials. The lights of Cilea were on, the manager is outside on his phone, they look closed - it is after hours. Mio bello asks, cuz it doesn't hurt to ask. Awesommme they make two fresh stone oven cooked delizioso pizzas just for us. And two cokes please :) Margarita and their Salsiccia e Friarielli! Won the love of my taste buds the second one. Looks like spinach - it isn't. Feeling special. Service out of the ordinary and upon a kind request, plus during closed hours. This must be Napolitan warmth!

There is indeed quite nothing like Napoli pizza. If you go to Naples without trying their pizza,…read moredid you really go to Naples? Came here with a few friends, one of whom came the night before and raved endlessly about how amazing their pizza was. Granted that I wasn't able to have all the Napoli-style pizzas I wanted during my stay, but this was a very memorable one that makes me wish I'd stayed in Naples a little longer. The city is a world-class culinary institution, and that is not to be taken very lightly. This was my first meal in town and probably the best meal I've had in Naples. Their selection of pizzas is quite extensive, but I got the margherti con funghi (margherita, mushrooms, eggplant, bacon) and it was one of the most mind-blowing pizza experiences that I've ever had, and I probably don't ever say that, especially as a New Yorker who -should- have high standards for pizza. Then again, New York pizza does not compare to true Italian pizza. The ingredients were all in their own place, so it was a bit hard to distribute them evenly, but a very delicious pizza nonetheless. My appetite can vary, but I was able to finish the whole thing--of course, with some willpower. One of my friends had to pack her leftovers. I saw the fried pizza and was tempted, but believe me when I say that it is huge and might need some skipped meals to be able to be enjoyed wholly. Prices for pizza ranged from €5,50 to €6,50, which is very reasonable for how much you get. This is one of the popular pizza restaurants in town and rightfully so.

My colleague and good friend gave me a couple of choices, and one choice was a Naples specialty: Fried Pizza, first it sounded bizarre, but on the other hand, I had to find out what it was. In the old Naples, in a small side street, you walk in and down into the basement. The surroundings are fantastic cozy and the walls are filled with pictures of celebrities from around the world who also may have this mystery resolved. I was more than positive surprised, the bottom was not at all greasy or oily as imagined, but had a twist and a good taste - and then two people can eat more than enough and drink a good beer each for under 25 euros for both .. It was a surprised good experience - and would definitely recommend it to others.

It looked like a nice restaurant when I waked in so I was somewhat worried about it being expensive. But it ended up being very low priced for pizza and appetizers. The other dishes were more high end but everything they brought out looked very high quality and tasted just as high quality. I would highly recommend anyone to come try it for the exceptional service, pizza and espresso. I'm sure all the other options are just as stellar.
