So sad that the only hospital and ER for that area is more dangerous than safe. UH you may as well close the ER dept there, you've closed and cut back everywhere else. They were able to administer an epi-shot there and steroids plus a couple other things. Since he had to have epinephrine, they called 911 for the ambulance to transport him to the hospital, everything was so smooth and the people were friendly and just wonderful. I would highly recommend this place for some thing that doesn't require a hospital emergency room.

ARMC did nothing but say the doctor should have done better, then had the audacity to bill me for this visit where the doctor failed in his legal obligation to provide reasonable and competent care. Any hospital that would employ such a disaster who obviously endangers patients this often either failed to do appropriate background checks or is willing to gamble with the lives of their patients. This doctor is either astonishingly incompetent or has willfully malicious intent.

The pharmacy is to the right side when you walk in and there is always someone at the entrance of the hospital to help direct or assist you. We have been siting in this waiting room for over 8 hours with no test results, no one checking in on his chest pains and when my family or any of these other families waiting for help ask about how much longer themselves or their loved ones have to wait to be seen the nurses and receptionist just say (with a heightened volume and annoyance to their voice is... "you're on the list" and that "we don't know wait times" 8+ hours to wait to be seen and left in a waiting room when you came in with heart an chest pain is unexplainable for my father and the countless others that are in pain and just wanted some preview of when they'll be able to be seen and have some relief! Do better Cleveland Clinic and have your front line crew members show a little more empathy for people that have spent the equivalent to a full workday waiting in a lobby to get relief for their ailments. This facility has the biggest parking lot ever, but its never full or crazy like at other hospitals. Yet, the facility always has patients. I'm not sure if people are teleporting here or what, but I digress. I love St. Vincent because: + No BS scheduling. They are so quick and flexible at every facility. Its amazing. + I really feel the doctors and nurses are incredibly trained. I have had many experiences others places with doctors following "the book" and failing to be creative or see things right in front of them. + Parking is a breeze. + They are profoundly organized. I don't deal with mismatched bills, uncommunicative office requests or bad flows of information. + Most of the staff aren't trolls. This is super appreciated. He was in agony due to a toothache and is not supposed to take aleve due to kidney issues Tylenol won't touch the pain for him he knows this. Aleve and ibuprofen are jokes for tooth aches and he is supposed to avoid them I am sure you are good people and mean well but your actions and policies are cruel and they don't have to be . He has no idea how long it might take to see the dentist he just realized this is acute. He already tried to tough it out with over the counter meds but at first he came here not due to pain but in fear he was having a heart attack. But as he sat here the pain got unbearavble. He is over 60 and rarely visits the ER and only does for heart issues and you could easily see that he never asked for pain meridine at the ER in the past. This time he did - --- he pointed out he slept 3 hours last night. THis is an elderly patient who has had cardiac issues has a medical history locally online and they could validate the cause of his pain. it was more than just the tooth. the first dr was very nice and was going to help find something which by the way he only asked for nerve medicine as it had helped i the past. Teeth are part of your neurological system and surely there is some nonaddictive pain medicine you can find for teeth if that is the concern. The second dr said just use aleve which is not sufficient! --watch wanda sykes on ibuprofen. We had just come back from a show and it was a weekend. We left tht show at inter issue due to his pain shooting in his face. He also had a high 175/101 blood pressure which was because of the pain! this is just cruelty on wheels. You are so busy trying to avoid drug shoppers--who would show a history of tons of visits to the ER etc etc --that you deny empathy and compassion to those who need it the most. You could have seen that he literally had a broken bone months ago but did not ask for special pain medicine. But now he was in agony and he is a cardiac patient and I am beside myself seeing him suffer for no reason at all. Please read this on the ethics of pain management. You could have just given him a few days worth. But hamot doesn't care enough about patient suffering to figure out a protocol to give them pain medicine that is just and compassionate . Are you a football coach telling people to just bear the pain like they are competing for some tough guy award or a compassionate doctor? get some counseling this was cruel.
