Certainly when I was in City Tyres wasn't servicing any flash motors and I did see plenty of people scratching their heads searching I can only assume for a new name. Or rogue head lice. Despite obvious name based dilemmas, these boys are still providing a pretty good service. Fortunately I've only had to make use of them once and only because I was in the area but these sorts of services are always meant for the locals aren't they? I thought they were efficient and they got the job done without any fuss. Not too expensive and they also do paint jobs, bodywork stuff and general servicing.

The owner Rich, is friendly, personable and helpful. They do servicing and bodywork as well, but there's no hard sell. I was there during a quiet period, they did the MOT while I was there told me about some things I already knew about and said that they could do the work if I didn't "have a mechanic". I don't own any mechanics so I let them take care of it. The work was done on time, to the price I expected without surprises or excuses and with a smile. I like this, I'll be using them again.

The place is small with barely room for him, his tyres and his equipment. You don't get a waiting room or drinks just the service you need. I've been there twice now (after recommendation by a local garage) and the last time he found two nails in one tyre charging a whole £15 to fix both holes. Fast, reliable, good quality and cheap. I can't recommend him more.

The service is second to none, it is a one man show but he is reliable and honest in his approach to what needs repairing on your car. He is polite and courteous and very knowledgable. If you are in need of a mechanic or some welding he is able to recommend a few and as he says he would not recommend them if they were no good as that would be bad for business. As it is a small operation you do need to be prompt for your appointment time. If you are early you might even benefit from that as the car in front has already gone. The station is easily accessible the only reason I didn't give 5 stars (apart from I never give 5 stars as there is always some which could be improved) is that getting your car out is a little bit tight. Other than that it's the place to go for an MOT.
