My experience with Mac's Upholstery was extremely frustrating.
I paid a $1,200 deposit toward a $2,400 custom boat-cover job. The cover was supposed to be completed within the agreed timeframe, but the job was repeatedly delayed and I was given different explanations and timelines along the way.
There were multiple missed commitments and a lot of vague communication. I often had to follow up myself just to find out what was happening with a job I had already paid a substantial deposit toward.
After months of delays and uncertainty, I ultimately cancelled the job and made other arrangements for the cover. I then requested the return of my $1,200 deposit. Even getting a clear answer about the refund became another drawn-out process.
The refund was eventually received, but that doesn't change the experience or the amount of time and frustration involved in getting to that point.
This review is not about one isolated delay. It's about the overall experience -- missed commitments, unclear communication, having to repeatedly follow up, and ultimately having to make other arrangements after waiting for the job to be completed.
Based on my experience, I would not use this service again. If you do business with them, I would strongly recommend getting the scope of work, expected completion date, payment terms, and any refund arrangements clearly documented in writing. read more
