I think this is a really good store in terms of it's cleanliness, wide selection of groceries and they always have interesting and much more selection of home decor than you can find in a typical grocery store (Sobey's included). My only hesitation in giving SavOn 5 stars is that they, like all SavOn Foods are pricey. Unless you troll for sales and use their app. But they're certainly no more pricey than Sobeys or Safeway. But with the cost of groceries climbing incrementally, all grocery stores are becoming unaffordable, I fear.

The cashier rang in my order but mistakenly scanned an item twice (this happens approximately on 80% of my receipts) I went to get a refund and the owner/operator came. During the refund she hardly looked at me, gave no apology and asked to look through my bags. Two days later I was there again when they came to talk to me regarding the refund for the item from the other day. She told me she had actually ended up charging me a third time and she forgot to get me to sign the receipt. So while a cashier was refunding me for that item, I happened to look over my receipt from the groceries I just bought and found out that they charged me twice for another item. I then expressed my displeasure of the frequent over-charges and feeling like a liar or a thief with the owner wanting to rifle through my bags. Her response was that I didn't need to shop there anymore; that I wasn't that good of a customer (cuz I frequently bought sale items) and then she told me that she watches me while my daughters and I shop!! It's got 4 "self checkout" stands, for anyone who wants to come in and out fast. The staff is really friendly and helpful, and I've never had any issues with them. Last week I bought more groceries then I originally thought I would be getting. I had my arms full and one of their young male employees came up to me and asked if he could help me to my car. I rarely ask for help, but he saw I was struggling and took it upon himself to help. He wasn't a cashier, bagger or anything, he worked in the produce area. So he didn't have to help me out at all, but he did. Huge props to that man! I haven't noticed their prices are any different than in any other grocery stores. I've never had any problems with their food, and love the premade items! They're perfect for quickly grabbing a healthy lunch/dinner meal. I know one of my friends appreciates the large gluten-free selection. So before she comes over for a visit, I always go to Sobeys to grab some things she can eat.
