Finally MACROCENTER found Ankara. As an expatriate who lives both in Istanbul and Ankara, I am "very" happy to see that Macrocenter started to migrate in Ankara.
Product choice:
The product choice in Ankara is not quite 'there yet". This may be due to the store buying local groceries as much as possible, it makes financial sense.
Aesthetics:
Aesthetically speaking, the Ankara store missed the point in its lighting, which gives out a grey-ish hue and is quite un-pleasing after a few minutes! In contrast, Istanbul Macrocenters marry lighting and store style quite well, which gives out a warm and quality atmosphere -- it's all about the experience.
Location:
At last the store is far, far and away unless you live in the new suburbs of Ankara (after Bilkent University). Being around Panora, it's quite a drive for a few items.

Update: I've seen a MACROCENTER store sign in one of the new building at the corner of Eskisehir and Konya road right across from Armada Shopping Center! There's hope! read more
