Miguel is the best server! The food delicious and serve fast. The ambience is chill and comfortable. We enjoy the food and drink here!

Al pastor tacos

Wifey and I were a little skeptical at first when a random guy walked us like 3 blocks down the street after I asked him where we could find some really good tacos for lunch... the place was empty inside, but it ended up being the best meal I had all week in our visit to Cancun/Cozumel! We ordered a strawberry margarita, 6 al pastor tacos, and a steak burrito. The margarita was perfectly made, grilled tortilla around the burrito was excellent, and the tacos with some of their salsa were on point! Price-wise it was probably a little on the higher side compared to your local taco guy, but at about $8 a plate, it was still cheap compared to what you'd pay in the states! The waiter even comped us two tequila shots (which quickly became three after I spilled the first one) that even my wife enjoyed. Coupled with free WiFi and bathrooms, this place is a solid 5 stars that I would absolutely visit again in a heartbeat! P.S. - Once you're done here, walk 2 minutes east to the "Dulce Sueño's" Thai ice cream shop... they recommended it to us and it was really good!

This place was awesome. Right off of the main strip, a few blocks from the pier. They have a small seating area inside and outdoor seating. They have air conditioning inside and free wifi. They keep the bottle water ice cold which saved my life after riding a moped around the coast of the island. They have bottled beer and a nice list of margaritas. I ordered three different tacos: pork chop, chorizo and breaded fish. I also got a side of rice and refried beans. Everything was amazing. The side sauces they provide are all tasty. The service could not have been better. They were playing awesome reggae, R & B and pop. It was a very pleasant experience. I hope to return.

Authentic Mexican vibe! Off the main tourist drag you can find something you can't get in the states. Accommodated a group of 11 people with 6 adults and 5 kids (7-13). Everyone's enjoyed it, from tacos to fresh free guacamole and amazingly not too sweet mix drinks! We were lucky enough to get a 4/5 person mariachi band to sing a few songs for us while we ate. We asked around where to eat and took a recommendation to only realized that one of the "market men" had tried to convince us earlier to follow him to "the best tacos in town". I can't compare to other restaurants in Cozumel, but it was the best place for our last dinner in Mexico- it had a great vibe and amazing service. A must stop!

Chicken tacos

I was skeptical of this little taco joint right behind a touristy area of Cozumel. I wanted some good street tacos (or as close as possible) and not a tourist trap. We were walking and were hot, so my husband and I decided to give it a try... I am so glad we did. I ordered the 3 chicken tacos and he ordered a chicken burrito. We both devoured our meals. The tacos didn't come with everything Americans would expect, like cheese, sour cream, lettuce, etc. They bring you a lime, pico, and a side of beans and sauces and that's about it, but truly, that's all you need because of the rich flavors on the chicken. We ordered two Dos Equis each and the service was quick. She initially brought out the wrong tacos for me, apologized, and told me it would be two more minutes for my order. I told my husband to go ahead and eat since I assumed it wouldn't actually be two minutes, but it was! The beans weren't great like the tacos, but I didn't need them anyway.

Colorful and flavorful drinks- my daughter's was a tasty alcohol free one.

So this was the little bar and grill right outside our hotel that we kept walking past. Finally had drinks here one evening after walking past the very animated and welcoming waitstaff. Their English was very good and the drinks were awesome combinations of fruits and liquors I had never thought of. It's a very quirky little place with a little cart that they roll to your table to make fresh guacamole to your specifications. They are open Late and the prices are good. Stop by next time you're on the island.

Amazing staff and food!

The taco platter is great for 2-3 people but I would order extra guacamole since they only give you a tiny portion. Beer deal 2x1 is the best deal in town!

Big margaritas

Roaming through the streets of Cozumel, hungry, and stumbled upon this place. Our server was the happiest, high-energy person I've met in a long time. He even brought me a free shot, which was pink and made with vodka (wrong on so many levels), and I declined it politely because a) I am in Mexico for a reason; and b) I am 42 years old. I think that deflated him. He wasn't as bubbly after that. Either way, the margaritas were decent, and the queso con pastor was awesome. My only regret is not ordering some guacamole and chips because the queso only came with soft tortillas. On a busy street corner, so not much ambience, but a good spot for a quick lunch. Guitar player offered to sing for us too.

After seeing the great reviews here, we schlepped a couple extra blocks (despite a bit of rain) to visit for lunch. Well worth it. We liked Colores y Sabores so much that we returned on another day. Equally fantastic. The Margaritas (I got Mango) are great. Don't ask for frozen mango margarita because, although they will do it, it lessens the flavor of the fresh mango. Tried it both ways, so I can say for sure, lol. The Beans are something you do not want to miss. Something special about them here. The guacamole and pico de Gallo and chips are the way you'd hope: fresh, crunchy, not greasy and just enough pop. Enchiladas are fantastic - and there are three options for how you can get it. The Mole is outstanding - a little smoky, tons of rich flavor. I rarely order fajitas - but I wanted to go simple one day. Perfect. Tender chicken, and caramelized onions and peppers. Try corn or flour tortillas -- or both, like I did. Another day, I tried the tortilla soup and loved it. Soothing, simple, with strips of chicken and crunchy tortilla. We also got the chicken tacos, which were great. 3, with beans and guacamole on corn tortillas. Our fave, though, was the Chile Relleno. Heavenly. Ground beef stuffed inside and this dish was as satisfying and delicious as anything we encountered on the trip. The Carrot Cake! Definitely recommend that, too. Just sweet enough, and homemade.

The chicken mole enchiladas were outstanding -- the mole was a rich chocolate mole with the perfect amount of spice. You could really taste the depth of the sauce, not too sweet, not too spicy, just perfectly balanced and incredibly flavorful. We also tried the shrimp alioli, and that was just as impressive. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and the garlic alioli sauce was rich without being too heavy. Everything tasted fresh and made to order. The atmosphere is beautiful -- lush garden setting, relaxing, and it really feels like you're dining somewhere special rather than just another tourist spot. Service was attentive and friendly the whole time. If you're in Cozumel, this place is absolutely worth a visit. I would go back just for the mole alone.

It was basically raw cucumber filled with half-cooked white onion and (maybe) spinach, smothered in a white cream sauce. I took one bite and couldn't eat another. Honestly one of the nastiest things I've ever been served at a restaurant. My boyfriend ordered the tortilla soup and it came out cold. The other "courses" were minimal: about three bites of pineapple icee, plus a few pear slices with candied nuts and goat cheese (that part was fine, but nowhere near enough to feel like a real meal). We had one drink, one bottle of water, and with tip the total was around $100. For that price, this was a complete waste of money. 0/10 recommend--very disappointing and we won't be back. Too bad- beautiful building and good service. The food was just gross.

They have a couple of great regional Yucatan dishes here, like the Molcajete and the Cochinita. San Miguel de Cozumel is admittedly not the most beautiful or interesting Mexican city to do touristy stuff in, so it was a treat to find some great regional cuisine to try. I was with a group, so we ordered the Molcajete (basically, mixed grilled meats in a stew), ceviche, and cochinita (stewed pulled pork), along with tortillas. All of it was great. The sauces, from the salsa to the stew broths to the ceviche sauce, were all terrific. There was mention that they dishes were spicy, but in the end, none of the stuff was super-spicy. Furthermore, the spicy stuff was often a salsa served on the side, or a whole roasted pepper that wasn't integrated into the dish, so you could calibrate your spiciness to your taste. Bathrooms: Basic, but clean and functional.
