5 Star Best Trip OF MY LIFE at Arlen Lodge in St. Anton…read more Last week I stayed at Arlen Lodge in St. Anton to celebrate my 40th birthday, and it was hands-down the best trip of my life! I traveled with 23 of my closest friends and family, coming from all over--Alaska, London, Texas, New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Florida, and Georgia--and we all agreed that this experience was EPIC. First, the location is unbeatable. Arlen Lodge is a true ski-in, ski-out property, which made hitting the slopes and returning after a long day incredibly convenient. For a group as large as ours, having everything so accessible was a game-changer. It allowed everyone--whether they were seasoned skiers or non-skiers--to feel connected and included in the experience. The convenience of the location was a layer of ease to an already perfect stay. The rooms were immaculate, SO CLEAN, spacious, and cozy. The beds were super comfortable, and the storage space was more than enough for all our gear. I only wish I found more time to take in the breathtaking views of the mountains from our balcony. What truly set Arlen Lodge apart, though, was the hospitality. Annalisa, the owner, went above and beyond for us. She took the time to review my entire trip agenda beforehand, offering advice to make sure everything--from our ski routes to our lunch spots--was perfectly coordinated. Throughout the trip, she was always a step ahead, checking in to help with taxis, transfers, and any last-minute needs. The amenities were fantastic, too. Breakfast each morning was fresh and delicious, giving us the perfect start to our day. The ski room with boot warmers was a game-changer--it's those little touches that make all the difference! I've stayed at luxury resorts around the world, but the warmth, care, and personal attention we received at Arlen Lodge surpassed anything I've ever experienced--even compared to five-star brands. If you're planning a trip to St. Anton, don't hesitate--stay at Arlen Lodge. You will thank me!

What a fantastic place! From the minute I walked in Annalisa and company made my first visit to…read moreAustria so comfortable. The hotel & rooms were so impeccably clean and has a very modern European feel with some old time charm mixed in. The ski room is awesome with built in boot warmers/dryers. After you ski back for the day there is always a yummy homemade authentic snack and tea ready for you. The breakfast is unreal. There was something for everyone and its served for a long time in the am - you wont go hungry, They wont let you! There is also a great restaurant down stairs - https://g.co/kgs/HPTX5Eg. Theo´s Restaurant & Bar. If you venture out of the hotel you will find that its location is perfect for a nice short walk into the village. The town is fantastic and the Arlen Lodge is settled/nestled against the mountain - You cant get much closer unless your wearing your skis or board. Its a rarity to go somewhere as a tourist and be treated like family but this is exactly how I felt - Thank You Annalisa and staff at Arlen Lodge - We will be back again and again.

I think we paid about $100 for the night in July and that included a great breakfast. I would stay here again if I've ever back in town. Great place.

Skihotel Galzig is a modern, well-designed hotel with an excellent location at the base of…read moreGalzigbahn. The rooms are gigantic, even by US standards with plenty of storage space and even a real rubbish bin (not those ridiculous stainless steal miniature bins with the foot-opening-pedal-thingy). The only downer is the shower design. The shower head is a handheld shower and does not stay tilted downward which makes showering impossible. In other words, it's not really a shower and you have to set the handheld sprayer on the bath floor in-between shampooing and the rest. Breakfast is served on the main floor, just outside reception in an open and airy room. The hotel was fully booked during our stay and we went to breakfast at peak times and it was never packed which was nice. The selection was great and included items such as scrambled eggs (not made with cream which was great!), bacon (crispy bacon, not the crap they call bacon in the UK), bread, yogurts, meats, and cheeses. One note to make is that reception (who are wonderful, by the way), can load your keycard with your ski pass but they cannot load half-day passes. Galzigbahn station is just a few steps away from the backdoor of the hotel which makes carting your equipment back and forth a breeze. Another thing to note is that there is a stationary bike, treadmill, and sun bed in the basement of the hotel along with a massage room, steam room, and sauna. And yet another note to make is that they do sell a small selection of wines, beers, juices, and fizzy drinks throughout the day in their lounge. Check the menu on the coffee table for prices and order from reception. A big thank you to Emily at reception who kindly asked us if we had dinner reservations for Christmas Eve and then provided a list of restaurants who still had openings. Christmas Eve in Austria is highly celebrated and we are so thankful that Emily reminded us that we should make dinner reservations.
