He wasn't busy- there was no one in the restaurant. After looking at the menu, we both agreed that we found something we would be willing to eat on the menu, but that we would rather wonder the neighborhood a bit to look for food elsewhere. Unfortunately it started to pour when we weren't too far from the hotel, so we turned back and decided to give them a chance. If you are looking for service- go elsewhere. It took awhile to get this bartender's attention, we asked if we could choose our seat, since there was hardly anyone there. Mostly too- we knew we did not want to sit anywhere near the bar where he was sulking. He finally came over with menus for both drinks and food. It didn't take us long at all since we had already chosen our food before. We promptly closed our menus to signal we were ready. That apparently wasn't enough here, it took over 20 minutes for him to finally come and get our orders. I ordered the falafel bowl since I'm vegan- it's one of like 3 things on the menu that would work. My friend ordered another bowl, I'm not sure the name of her bowl, but she said she wouldn't order it again. I agreed- I felt the same way. The server/bartender never checked back in with us, someone else dumped the food at our table and ran. My friend ordered another glass of wine from the food runner, she got a much better wine pour the 2nd time from the food runner even though she ordered the wine the exact same way. No one ever came to ask how our meal was, if we wanted more drinks, or anything else. Near the end when we were ready to leave a big group of cruise people came in and then the bar got busy- but until that point they had not been busy. We had asked for our check well before that point, and after waiting Way longer than we should have without anyone coming back to us, we finally went up to the bar to beg to pay. So sad when you have to beg to leave and pay So if you are ever in the area and want bland, boring, overpriced food, served by disinterested staff who will waste your afternoon- this is the place for you. If you value your time, I would go elsewhere. It was raining today, and my friend and I were trying to just visit with each other. Had I been with my hubby, he would have up and left. The menu features cheap guinness mixes and small pours of many whiskeys for just a few euros. The house aged whiskey in a wood barrel behind the bar was unique and tasty. Bonus points for the cool Guinness toucan lamp at the side of the bar.

Very chill and relaxed vibe overall. Service was exceptional: attentive, welcoming, helpful (that last part is especially good because the menu is dense!). Drinks are not cheap (at all), but they are delicious, and you're paying for the show and artistry...and it's worth it. My drink was served in the motif of a Japanese tea set with a short sword decoration to boot. My friend got some wild looking concoction in a beaker. Neighboring tables had equally unique and eye-popping choices (including a movie theater popcorn themed one that I simply have to try when I'm back someday).
